Luv': The Best Of 2020

What happened in Luv' land in 2020?

In spite of the global Covid-19 pandemic and the announcement of Luv's break-up due to José Hoebee's ill health, the ladies enjoyed good moments this year. 

The former Luv' singers can count on platforms which are regularly updated: four Facebook Pages (Official Luv', José Hoebee Fan Page, Ria Thielsch Fan Zone: Forever Yours, the Dutch-German Luv' Fan Page) as well as the Luvgirlgroup blog.

• In January, a crowdfunding campaign initiated by Franklin van Liempt was launched to reissue Bonnie & José's LP "Herinnering" on CD/DVD. In four days, the target was reached. Bonus material was added thanks to the additional benefits. In November, the 2020 edition of Bonnie & José's album came out. 

• In early February, the group's management informed that Luv' stopped all their activities.

• In March, José Hoebee made her only public appearance during the premiere of the rockumentary "The Beat Goes On" with the crème de la crème of the Dutch pop-rock scene.

• Chimène van Oosterhout promoted the women's clothing chain KeK all through the year. Due to the Coronavirus, she had to cancel many contracts as a host for corporate events. However, she appeared sporadically in the media (including on a VIP edition of the game show Lingo and in celebrity gossip magazines).

• Ria Thielsch kept a low profile in the media except for two interviews (one on the radio and another one in the tabloid press).

• In the Spring, Marga Scheide took everybody by surprise when she announced that she would appear as a guest artist during six shows of Flemish comedian Piv Huvluv in Belgium. Due to the pandemic, she only gave one performance in October.

• In December, the Luv' ladies were in the spotlight on a TV program that celebrated the golden jubilee of the iconic music show AVRO's TopPop. On that occasion, Marga Scheide discussed Luv's most significant performances on the legendary show.
