On December 16th, AVROTROS/NPO 3 broadcast episode 4 of the second season of "Het beste van...50 jaar Toppop" which drew 660.000 viewers (market share: 10.1%). The Luv' ladies were celebrated during this episode. Tonight the program will be rerun between 10.00 pm and 10.50 pm.
Marga Scheide as well as other media personalities (including Anita Witzier, Annemieke Schoollaardt and Tineke de Nooij) reacted to excerpts from Luv' on TopPop.

"When I was asked to join the group, I didn't expect such a success. At first, I kept on working (as a model). U.O.Me was our breakthrough," Marga told. "We actually rented our costumes for this performance," she admitted as she discussed Luv's U.O.Me on TopPop.

"Then our success extended to Europe and the rest of the world. We had our own private jet with Luv' written on it. After a show in Switzerland, Austria or Spain during the day, we could fly back to perform somewhere in Holland at night," Marga added.
The former Luv' singer asserted that You're the Greatest Lover was her favourite song. "Everybody wants to do our dance," she said referring to the iconic routine when the ladies put their hands in the air (Shananana...). During Luv's performance of Greatest Lover, the trio wore Indian fringe outfits. "These dresses were very beautiful. But we also wore them for shows at night. We performed three times in the evening. It was not pleasant to wear them for the third time," Marga explained ironically.

She also remembered the video for Trojan Horse and laughed about it. "It was filmed in a car park. There was a lot of fog and two Smurfs with us. It was crazy," Marga said.

Marga also thought that the costumes for Ooh, Yes I Do were among her favourites. "We were considered sexy. But I don't think so," she told.

The excerpt from Casanova was also broadcast.

"What happened to us is unique. In retrospect, I enjoy this time. We were young and we did a lot of things. It's a nice basis for the rest of your life," the blonde lady declared.
Later on episode 4 of "Het beste van… 50 jaar Toppop", Marga reacted to I Won't Stand Between Them by Bonnie St. Claire from 1970: "It's such a beautiful song. I get tears in my eyes. It's top of the bill. The lyrics are excellent. Peter Koelewijn produced it".
Previously, on episode 3 (867.000 viewers/market share: 12.5% on December 9th), Marga mentioned French singer Sheila who had a big European disco hit "Love Me Baby" with B. Devotion in 1977. "At the time, we were part of the same record company Carrere. She was a friend of our label director. He had a private jet and we were allowed to use it. She was also on the same plane. I wondered why she was always there with us. It's because they had an affair," Marga explained. " Everytime we arrived in Paris (unfortunately we were not so successful in France), we could go shopping at Carrere's expense. I assume she (Sheila) also took advantage of it because she was also on the same plane," she added.
Moreover, Marga gave her opinion on Karen Young who reached her peak with her signature song Hot Shot in 1978: "I never saw her. She looked like a man".
