Chimène van Oosterhout discusses Luv' and her present activities in Party

The latest issue of Party magazine features an article about Chimène van Oosterhout.
Luv's recent break-up may not be a drama to Chimène but the media personality thinks it's a pity. Her recruitment as a replacement for Ria Thielsch boosted Luv' in January 2019. The beautiful and multi-talented brunette feels sorry for José Hoebee whose ill health led to the interruption of Luv's activities in September 2019. "Maybe José could not stand the pressure," Chimène says, referring to the hectic schedule of the group last year. Sometimes the trio had to perform four times a weekend on stage.

"We were supposed to interrupt all our shows until April," Chimène adds. Because many fans kept on asking if Luv' would be back and the bookings for live performances kept on rolling in, Chimène suggested to look for a temporary replacement for José. "I thought that Patricia Paay was a good idea. However, the information was leaked to the press (see news posted on January 29th, 2020). When I was asked to join Luv', we succeeded in being discreet for a while. I was able to rehearse all the songs and dance routines for a month without a media circus. When I was ready to perform with Marga and José, my name was publicly announced," Chiméne explains. As for José, the intention was to give her time to rest and recover. The summertime with its funfairs and festivals is the busiest period of the year for Luv'. When José accepted the decision to find a temporary replacement and when it was clear that her comeback would take time, she wanted to give up. "She is the one who quit. Then we asked ourselves if Luv' could go on without her but Luv' is not Luv' if José is not present. Marga eventually decided to stop the group definitively," Chimène asserts.

Luv's demise doesn't mean that Chimène is in trouble financially. As a PR manager, she hosts corporate events several times a month. When she has less engagements and when she's not busy writing her book about narcissism, she helps a friend at the KeK clothing stores (see news posted on January 26th, 2020).  "I replace ill employees in the shops she runs," Chimène tells.
