Marga Scheide & José Hoebee: the leading ladies of Luv'!!!
The two former members of Holland's greatest girl group have always been proud of Luv's legacy! Here's their latest news:
* The latest issue of Story Zomer 2021 features an article about the summer holidays of Dutch celebrities (including Marga Scheide). "We go to our house in Ibiza off-season. It's not overcrowded and the weather is fine. In July and August, we are home and we like it. We live at the water's edge. We enjoy a drink there and we look for a nice café and we feel like we're on holiday,"Marga explains.

The ex-Luv' singer was initially supposed to take part in five guest performances with Piv Huvluv. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, these shows (except the above-mentioned one) were postponed to future unspecified dates. Currently, two guest appearances with Marga are announced on Piv Huvluv's website:
* The latest issue of Party Hollandse Hitmix magazine features an article about Dutch and international pop stars wearing leather outfits. Eight "experts" (including TV personality Chiel Montagne as well as singers Corry Konings, Desray (of 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor) and Dean Saunders) discuss the subject "leather in pop music". The article is illustrated with pictures of the Luv' ladies (with their iconic "Trojan Horse" leather outfits from 1978), Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson (with his legendary "Bad" outfit from 1987) and Jerney Kaagman (of Earth & Fire with her unforgettable leather blue "Weekend" costume from 1979).

On June 25th, SBS6's entertainment news program "Shownieuws" (featuring Patty Brard as a showbiz expert and Airen Mylene as an anchorwoman) only drew209.000 viewers (market share: 5%) although it was broadcast during prime time. Dutch media news website "Mediacourant.nl" posted an article about this issue: Shownieuws kwakkelt op prime time, zakt in tot 209.000 kijkers (mediacourant.nl)
Due to the current UEFA European Football Championship, the talk show "De Oranjezomer" takes the place of Shownieuws in SBS6's late evening. That's why the entertainment news show is broadcast during prime time before the popular "Hart van Nederland". Due to this change in programming and without the usual lead-in of Hart van Nederland, Shownieuws lost viewers.
By comparison,RTL 4's infotainment news show "RTL Boulevard" (Shownieuws rival that airs at 6.30 pm) attracted 667.000 viewers (market share: 23.9%) two days ago. Following the announcement of a merger between RTL Nederland and Talpa Network, media expert Piet Bakker (who was recently interviewed on NOS) explained that RTL Boulevard and Shownieuws might not be broadcast side by side and that one of these programs might disappear. Kruidvat and Patty Brard...a Luv' story since early 2020!
On June 23rd, the diva revealed on social media two glamorous pictures of herself backstage at a photo shoot for her next collection for Kruidvat (Holland's leading retail, pharmacy and drugstore chain specialised in household, health and beauty products). The end result will be revealed in the autumn.
The multitalented and sought-after media personality already launched four previous collections for Kruidvat:
Earlier this week, Dutch commercial broadcasters RTL Nederland and John de Mol’s Talpa Network announced that they reached an agreement to merge their broadcasting and affiliated media businesses in the Netherlands. The transaction, which has been approved by the Board of Directors of RTL Group and Talpa Holding, is expected to close in the first half of 2022, subject to regulatory approval.
RTL Nederland’s brands include RTL4, RTL5, RTL7, RTL8 and RTLz and streaming service Videoland. Talpa’s channels include SBS6, Veronica, Net5, radio 538 and Sky Radio.
RTL Nederland will have 70% of the shares in the new company, Talpa the remaining 30%.
If the merger is approved, it would mean all the Dutch language commercial broadcasters, with the exception of the ESPN sports channel, are in the hands of one company.
Talpa Network’s content units, Talpa Concepts and Talpa Entertainment Producties are not part of the deal. They will enter into a content agreement with RTL Netherlands for newly developed formats for linear TV channels and for the streaming service Videoland.
De Mol has been using the Talpa content units as incubators for new reality concepts that he then has piloted on Talpa TV channels before selling as formats around the world.
“I started Talpa Network to build a strong Dutch media company able to compete with the growing global platforms in order to preserve local content,” John de Mol said. “This next step will allow us to do just that – and I am pleased that the deal creates a strong Dutch company that not only guarantees Dutch quality content but is also able to take on the American and Chinese tech players. On top of that, it allows me to fully focus once again on what I like best: the creation and development of new innovative content.”
Sven Sauvé will continue in his current role as CEO of RTL Nederland, leading the combined group after closing the transaction. Pim Schmitz, CEO of Talpa Network, will represent Talpa Network by joining the new Supervisory Board of RTL Nederland which will be chaired by Elmar Heggen, COO and Deputy CEO of RTL Group.
The combined group would have a 2020 revenue of €909 million and an operating profit of €84 million. The annual content spend of the combined group amounts to more than €400 million. The potential synergies of the merger are estimated between €100 million and €120 million per year, to be fully realised in 2025, the companies said.
"Following the proposed merger of Groupe TF1 and Groupe M6 in France, the combination of RTL Nederland and Talpa Network is the second major step to scale up our broadcasting businesses across our European footprint,” Thomas Rabe, CEO of RTL Group, said. “The new cross-media group will have the size, resources and creativity to compete with global tech platforms in the Netherlands when it comes to investing in premium content, offering the most advanced addressable advertising opportunities, and expanding Videoland, the leading national streaming service for Dutch viewers.”
J.P. Morgan is acting as exclusive financial advisor to RTL Group and PJT Partners as exclusive financial advisor to Talpa Network.
The infotainment program "6 inside" was a complete failure.
The repair show "Zo Goed Als Nieuw" scored mediocre TV ratings last Autumn (except the episode featuring the Meiland family whose presence boosted the viewing figures).
The celebrity figure skating competition "Dancing On Ice" had a promising start: the two first episodes were successful but the next ones lost the ratings war against the other TV networks.
Gordon and Patty appeared on a travel show (in search of eternal youth) which reached disappointing viewing figures. The duo was supposed to co-host a talk show but due to the Covid-19 pandemic this project was shelved.
Patty's appearances on De 5 Uur Show didn't improve its bad viewing figures.
At the moment, SBS6's entertainment news show Shownieuws (featuring the diva as a showbiz expert) is the only TV program that keeps Miss Brard active on the small screen on a regular basis.
Yesterday, Dutch TV columnist Angela de Jong wrote in the "Algemeen Dagblad" that Patty Brard and her rival Bridget Maasland (working for RTL) could compete against each other on "Boxing With The Stars". "Patty Brard versus Bridget Maasland would be a great match that would make Rico versus Badr boring," Angela told.
Moreover, according to media expert Piet Bakker who was recently interviewed on NOS, RTL Boulevard and Shownieuws might not be broadcast side by side due to the RTL-Talpa merger. If both entertainment news shows merge, Shownieuws experts might join the RTL Boulevard team. It would mean the reunion of Bridget Maasland and Patty Brard!!!
Even if Patty's heyday on television is over, the larger-than-life media personality has other strings to her bow. Last year, her biography was a bestseller in the Netherlands. Patty has already launched three collections for Kruidvat, the Dutch retail, pharmacy and drugstore chain specialised in household, health and beauty products. Currently, she is preparing a fourth collection. History shows that anytime Patty's career on TV was in danger she came back to Luv': in 1993 as she had no shows to present, the ungrateful entertainer was reunited with Marga Scheide and José Hoebee to release the successful Luv' Gold compilation. Live and TV performances with the girl group followed until 1996. In 2006, as she was not on good terms with RTL, Patty made another comeback with Luv' including a profusion of projects: a reality show with the ladies (Back In Luv'), the Completely In Luv' box set released by Universal Music, a DVD and a series of concerts until 2012.
Television has been the main source of income for La Brard since 1983. What will happen if TV executives decide to cancel her contract due to her bad viewing figures? Will she go back to Luv' again?

"Now I realize the death of my mom. I've stayed in bed all day long," the diva tells Weekend.
Last year, the former Luv' singer reunited with her mother and daughter Priscilla. In the last months of Gerda's life, Patty did her best to enjoy every good moment with her. She often shared her joy on social media and in interviews.
Patty is satisfied with her mother's funeral. "My brother and I were very busy with it. It was beautiful. You know how perfectionist I am so I planned everything. The flowers, the music, etc...Our best friends and family members were there and our dear Richard Groenendijk sang Karin Bloemen's Geen Kind Meer. Priscilla, my sister-in-law Lida and my brother Dennis made beautiful speeches about our mother," the Shownieuws star explains.
Just after the funeral, Patty, her husband Antoine and their dogs flew to Ibiza to recover from their emotions. Miss Brard was supposed to undergo a bunionectomy but she cancelled this operation due to her mother's passing.
The grieving process has started recently. "I realized her absence last weekend. I was alone and suddenly I felt bad. Usually, on Sundays, I visited my mother...I stayed in bed and I felt so sad. That's just the way it is...,"she says.
Patty's bunionectomy has to be rescheduled. "I have to do it. I suffer from pain in my feet. Sometimes walking is so difficult. After the summer, nice things are planned with Talpa so it's better if the pain is over. Shownieuws will go on in the summer and I am working on the new collection for Kruidvat. Such an operation is hard to schedule due to my hectic agenda. So next week I'll have to arrange it," she asserts.
Recently, Dutch radio station Qmusic asked its listeners to vote for the 1500 kitschiest pop tracks of all time (De Foute 1500). Luv' signature song "You're the Greatest Lover" has reached the 711th position.

Recently, radio DJ Patrick Kicken interviewed Chimène van Oosterhout for his podcast "Leven Zonder Stress" (available on PODNL/Radio.NL). A YouTube video of this talk was posted on June 11th and an article about it was posted on the Radio.NL website on June 18th.
The fans all know that Chimène is a multi-talented media personality: TV presenter since the 1990s, briefly involved on the radio, actress, a former photo model, psychologist, yoga teacher, writer, an ex-Luv' singer, host for public events, PR manager...Her résumé is impressive.
Following the announcement of the new programming of Veronica, Patrick Kicken talks with professionals who worked for this broadcaster in the past. The latest episode of his podcast features Chimène who was a host on Veronica between the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Here's how Chimène described her debut on the small screen: "I started to apply for a job as a TV host on TROS in 1991 after my studies in psychology. At first, I didn't succeed. But then years later I said to myself: "I sent a letter which is one-dimensional and it was not successful. I should better send them a videotape mentioning my hobbies as it has got to do with television. A TV executive at TROS got my tape and the following day I had screen tests. And then I was hired. I stayed three years on TROS as a host. Then I wanted to be more involved on TV. In late 1998, I moved to Veronica and I started to present my own shows in addition to my regular job as a host. I did a program on a motorbike riding on Route 66 in America".
As she hosted Motor TV on Veronica in the early 2000s, she briefly got in touch with the Hell's Angels.
Chimène also expressed her love for horse riding and she was shortly involved on Talk Radio 1395 AM. "I prefer radio to television. It's more magical. You are more relaxed because on TV there are cameras and lighting. I would love to do radio again but to this day I haven't received any proposal yet. It's strange," she told.
When asked what she thought about the Veronica trademark and history, she answered: "The magic has gone. When I started to work on Veronica, the pirate years on the boat were over. It was already commercial. I did "The Young One" campaign on Veronica and later Yorin. Then it became a mess. What a pity! I spent a good time on Veronica. My image matched the channel. I was 3 or 4 times on the cover of Veronica magazine. I was a Veronica babe."
The experienced media personality explained that she used to find pictures of herself on Google and was shocked by the reactions of some people: "When I did "Vliegende Hollanders: Sterren van de Schans" (a celebrity ski jumping competition on SBS6), I was 49 years old. Some mean viewers wrote: "She looks good. It's because she had botox injections. Actually, I never had plastic surgery. I have good genes. People can be stupid and cruel. I tried to forget their remarks".
Chimène refused to pose nude for Playboy magazine: "They asked me five times to do it and I refused. It's maybe ridiculous but I am too emancipated for that. It was too sexist even if I was flattered that they wanted me. This kind of pictures can easily be found on the internet. It leaves an indelible mark. I have an 18-year old son and I don't want people to bother him with that. However, if Playboy asked me to do it as part of an item about female cancer patients, I would do it as a tribute to women who suffer from this disease. Recently, I did a photo shoot as I was shirtless with marks on my breast".
Despite her illness, Chimène tries to be positive. Last year, due to the Covid-19, her cancer treatment took six months to start as her situation was not urgent enough.
The courageous lady told her years in Sweden: "I studied communication. That's why I learned Swedish so I could bond with people there. I went there because I had a Dutch boyfriend named Olaf. He went there to work and I followed him. It was 10 years ago. My TV career was at a standstill...The Swedish people are bipolar and racist. I know I don't have to generalize. In the daytime, people were walking the dog and were depressive. At night, they were drinking a lot of alcohol. It was Sodom and Gomorrah. There is a lot of alcoholism there".
Chimène also talked about narcissism. Last last year she was busy writing a book about this issue. She had to shelve this project due to her cancer. She lost her creativity and focused on her health.
Here's what she said about Curaçao where she was born: "It has changed a lot over the years. It used to be a nice place but now it's more commercial. I prefer to go to Bonaire because it's more relaxed".
Moreover, she took yoga lessons after her first breast cancer was diagnosed thirty years ago. She later became a yoga teacher.
Chimène mentioned Luv': "It was stressful. José was the first to have health problems. When I arrived, I was very energetic. I had a lot of ideas for the group. I said: "We are going to do this and that! We are going to vlog. We are going to film a documentary. We are going to record a podcast". I didn't realize the situation within the group. Marga is very ambitious and she wanted to go on. But José could not follow due to her severe health issues. I took the place of Patty who didn't like it. Patty doesn't appreciate Luv'. But now it's over. Everybody said I was a good member of the group".
She also told a sad story that happened to her one year and a half ago on Bonaire: "As I was partying with friends on New Year's Eve on Bonaire, a drama occurred. We were dancing and jumping. We had fun. But then I fell from the dancefloor. I suffered a concussion. I was unconscious for several minutes. The next day, I had two scans. A nurse namedChimène like me took care of me".
The former Luv' singer was surprised when the tabloids got in touch with her to know if she had cancer: "One day, a journalist from a celebrity gossip magazine called me and asked: "So you are ill? What's going on? We've heard you were not okay. Someone talked to us". I replied: "Do you know what you are going to do? You're going to talk to the person who contacted you and ask him/her what happens. If you publish something wrong, I'm going to respond". I felt betrayed. I know it wasn't someone from my entourage as my friends know I had cancer twice before. It must have been someone from the hospital".
Chimène also discussed the breast cancer of Dutch actress Sylvia Millecam. Her death in 2001 caused nationwide controversy as she had refused treatment that could possibly have saved her life. In doing so, she was advised by Dutch healing medium Jomanda.
The larger-than-life celebrity referred to discrimination and inclusivity: "I'm about to take part in the "Share the Mic" campaign with Fabienne de Vries. Black and white women talk about discrimination and racism. When I listen to Sylvana Simons, I say: "Girl, when you talk like that, it brings more violence!" When I look at you, I see a person, a human being. No matter if you are white, brown, yellow, purple...The last time I felt discriminated against, it happened in Sweden. Before 1992, when Apartheid existed, I refused to go to South Africa. It was abolished on my birthday on February 11th. What a coincidence! Visiting the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg was very emotional. I rarely suffer from racism in the Netherlands. In Sweden and South Africa, it happened often. My son doesn't suffer from racism. He looks like a Moroccan boy. I'm not allowed to say it. Haha".
When asked what the reason for her victory on celebrity TV competitions was, Chimène answered: "I want to win! On Pekin Express, you have to be clever and you don't need much to win. As for the ski jumping competition, I am very sporty!"
Trojan Horse by Luv' was a huge hit in late 1978 and 1979 in a large part of Continental Europe as well as in Argentina, New Zealand, Zimbabwe and South Africa. It also reached the lower regions of the charts in Australia and Canada. This classic hit single sold one million copies worldwide.
Trojan Horse has been covered by dozens of artists (mostly Dutch and German acts).
Recently, a Czechoslovak version (Trojský kůň) performed in 1981 by the girl group Bezinky was recently posted on YouTube. Click here to watch the video.
At the time, the Iron Curtain divided Europe into two separate areas: the Western capitalist bloc and the Eastern communist bloc. The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic was a dictatorship part of the Eastern bloc. Due to harmless content of Luv's material that didn't bother communist states, the songs of Holland's greatest girl trio were tolerated. In 1977, Luv' even performed their debut single "My Man" on East German TV (click here to read an article about this performance).
Moreover, another recent video of a cover of Trojan Horse was posted on YouTube. The Estonian male group Trobikond performed their version of Luv's song entitled "Üks päev" in 2001.
Shownieuws only drew 178.000 viewers (market share: 2.5%) due to the fact that at the same time NPO 1 broadcast the football match "Netherlands Vs Austria" as part of the UEFA European Football Championship. 5.547.000 viewers (market share: 79.9%) watched the Netherlands 2-0 victory over Austria.
Here's how anchorwoman Annemarie Brüning announced Patty Brard's return on Thursday evening: "But first on my side… My right side, but for the viewers on the left: she's back, Patty! Welcome back!".
Patty Brard & Annemarie Brüning
"I am fine. I just lost my mother and everyone knows that by now. I was allowed to take care of her for a long time and the road to the end was quite tough. Dementia is something you hope no one has to deal with because it gets worse and worse and you know there's no way back," Patty said.
The diva announced that she would be involved in the Dutch Alzheimer's Foundation. "Dementia affects 30% of women. It's still difficult to take care of that and little research is being done to find a medicine," she asserted.
The former Luv' singer gave the viewers one piece of advice: “I want to tell people one thing: as long as you still have your parents or anyone else, enjoy every moment with them so you'll have beautiful memories. We tried to give my mother one year and a half of happiness before she passed away".
Later in this Shownieuws broadcast, Patty, as a showbiz expert, discussed several issues related to national and international entertainment as well as celebrity gossips. One of the subjects was Marco Borsato dating his ex-wife Leontine again. According to La Brard, it could have been different as Leontine was dating other men after her breakup with Marco.
Yesterday evening, Patty was again present on Shownieuws that attracted 181.000 viewers (market share: 3.6%).
There was a time when La Paay appeared regularly on the small screen on the jury of talent shows. "A long time ago, I worked onRTL Boulevard with Beau van Erven Dorens. It was nice sometimes, but I'm not career-oriented," Patricia told. When asked if she was jealous of Patty, she answered: "Are you crazy? She is also much younger than me. I think she is a very hard worker. I always tell her: "I respect you so much!" because of her incredible energy. We get along very well and we support each other". Here's what Patty's ex-rival said about her future on television: "It's not up to me. It has got to do with TV executives and the fact that there are good programs. I am often invited. I like game shows. They can keep calling me for them, I love these panel games". Patricia is not interested in a permanent and exclusive TV contract. "If I sign such a deal with a TV network, I have to accept everything. Maybe I won't have time for that because now I want to focus on my skincare line (La Paay Cosmetics)," the 72-year-old entertainer explained.
* On June 12th, Chimène van Oosterhout posted on Facebook and Instagram pictures of herself taking part in a photo shoot and an interview for VROUW magazine. The end result will soon be published.
* Two days ago, Chimène teamed up with media personality and coach Fabienne de Vries for the #ShareTheMicNow campaign. Click here to listen to their conversation.
What Is #ShareTheMicNow?
In the wake of George Floyd's death last year, a social media campaign called #ShareTheMicNow started in the USA. African-American female activists, celebrities, entrepreneurs and journalists united with white female performers, celebrities, fashion designers and athletes on Instagram.
This year, the former Luv' singer shared her experience with Fabienne de Vries.
Chimène had an Indian-born grandmother from Calcutta and a Creole grandfather on her mother's side. Her father is a white Dutchman. She lived in Curaçao until age 7.
"I felt discriminated at age 7 when I arrived in the Netherlands. I lived in a village called Bergeijk, North Brabant. In the schoolyard, the other kids were insulting me. I heard racist remarks. I asked my mother what happened. She said: "These children make these remarks because you are VERY special!", Chimène told. "I could handle these insults but I could not stand the exclusion. It was painful and it was my first experience of racism," she added. Chimène explained that she had support from a very good friend at the time.
She also told what she had been through when she worked in South Africa. "I was there with an all-white crew. Some people asked me: "Are you the nanny?"...Later other people gave me their empty glasses expecting me to serve them drinks as if I was a waitress," she said.
"I visited the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. What an experience! I saw pictures of the riots and the oppression. My white colleagues realized what it felt like being coloured or black," Chimène asserted.
The multitalented TV personality also mentioned the story of her son Lyam who also experienced racism to a lesser extent than her.
When asked if Chimène did something to protest against Apartheid, she answered: "No I didn't. Before 1992, I refused to go to South Africa due to Apartheid. This terrible law was abolished on February 11th, 1992 (on my birthday). I've been there four times. The TV production companies I worked for had a good rule: For every white people working there, three Black people were recruited at the same time. No matter if it was the catering, the filming, the lighting..."
Chimène later discussed other issues related to racism (the use of words "Black", "White", "Halfbloed" (a Dutch word for multiracial people), the launch of a Dutch broadcaster named Zwart (Black)...).
Here's how Chimène reacted to the Zwart broadcaster that is about inclusivity and people of all skin colours: "Would you like a channel called Blank (White in Dutch)? There is no broadcaster called like that...Once I was asked to be the "Black female entrepreneur of the year" and I refused it. I wanted to be the "Female entrepreneur of the year" instead. I didn't want to be labelled due to my skin colour... I don't want a Blank or Zwart network. I prefer a channel about diversity!"
Fabienne asked Chimène about Dutch politician Sylvana Simons. "I understand her fight. But by being aggressive, it brings more violence instead of brotherhood. It's a touchy issue," Chimène asserted.
Miss van Oosterhout believes in education and communication to improve the situations related to racism.

Since June 11th, Luv's album "Sincerely Yours" from 1991 and the four singles taken from it (Hasta Mañana, Jungle Jive, The Last Song and He's My Guy) have been available on digital platforms!!!
Sincerely Yours is an underestimated album initially released by RCA/BMG in April 1991. It was recorded by Luv's line-up consisting of Marga Scheide (the only original member who trademarked the group's name), Diana van Berlo and Carina Lemoine. Marga's partner, Jacques Zwart produced it.
Margaowns the copyright on this record and was supported by Casper Janssen to put it on digital platforms.
1. "Jungle Jive" (G. Thé, Marga Scheide, E. Mergency) – 3:23
This song was released as a single in March 1991. It incorporates African elements mixed with Western pop arrangements. The vocal harmonies are perfect. Diana and Carina were well-trained vocalists before they joined Luv'. Jungle Jive includes an excerpt from the Mexican traditional song "La Raspa".
2. "Sincerely Yours" (Ricardo Pagan, Joseph Malloy) – 4:25
This catchy song was originally performed by the American girl group Sweet Sensation in 1988. This Latin freestyle track (taken from Sweet Sensation's debut album "Take It While It's Hot") peaked at #14 on Billboard Hot 100 in 1989. Luv's cover version is very close to the original rendering. The trio's 1991 album was named after this song.
Sweet Sensation's original version of Sincerely Yours (1989)
3. "Sentimental Fool" (E. Mergency, Scheide) – 4:17
This ballad was written by Marga Scheide and her partner Jacques Zwart (aka E. Mergency). It was covered in Chinese by Hong Kong singer and actress Winnie Lau.
Winnie Lau's version of Sincerely Yours in Chinese
The daughters of the famous Dutch duo Gert & Hermien formed the group She She and also covered Sentimental Fool in 1992.
4. "Canta de la Luna" (E. Mergency, Scheide) – 4:15
This Spanglish summer song is highly inspired by "Ritmo de la Noche" (originally performed by German house group Chocolate in 1990, covered in the same year by Mystic, The Sacados and Lorca and whose opening piano riff was sampled from "I Go to Rio" by Australian artist Peter Allen). Latino music has always been part of Luv's DNA.
Ritmo de la Noche by Lorca
5. "2am Saturday Night" (F. Rampen, E. Mergency) – 3:10
This uptempo dance-pop song includes New Jack Swing elements, Flamenco guitars and Rap. A perfect track on the dancefloor in 1991.
6. "Hasta Mañana" (E. Mergency, Scheide) – 5:33
This Latino pop track (also including Flamenco guitars à la Gypsy Kings) is the first Luv' record featuring Carina Lemoine who replaced Michelle Gold. This festive single was also the group's first release on RCA Records in October 1990 after the trio's deal with Dureco. Due to its latino vibes, It was more appropriate for the summer and it should not have been released in the fall. Hasta Mañana was a foretaste of the Sincerely Yours album.
7. "He's My Guy" (E. Mergency) – 3:44
This Jazz ballad (released as a single in September 1991) is completely different from the other songs on the album. It is not a typical Luv' song and shows the fabulous vocal range of Diana van Berlo and Carina Lemoine. This cabaret track was the only single from Sincerely Yours to enter the Dutch singles chart. This minor hit peaked at #75 on the Nationale Top 100 in October 1991.
8. "Live or Die" (A. Hol, Scheide, E. Mergency) – 3:32
This soft-rock song (incorporating the sound of a motorbike and rock guitars) gives a dramatic impression and we imagine the ladies singing it on a Harkey Davidson.
9. "I Wanna Make Love to You" (Lion Keezer) – 3:26
Another uptempo Spanglish song made for dancefloors.
10. "The Last Song" (E. Mergency, Scheide) – 4:31
This pop ballad (released as a single in June 1991) features the background vocals of the American singer Omar Dupree (formerly of Rockaway Boulevard and American Gypsy as well as a member of Band Of Gold). It has groove and soul. The musical arrangements are highly inspired by Girl I'm Gonna Miss You by Milli Vanilli.
