Carina Lemoine: next performance at Parc de Kievit on September 24th and pictures of her first show with Luv'!

Former Luv' singer Carina Lemoine will be performing in a dinner show at Parc de Kievit, a brasserie in Baarle-Nassau, the Netherlands, on September 24th at 5.30 pm. She will share the stage with Denny Braaf, Hans Merkx and Mr Saxo P-air.

Here's the poster of the event:

Carina Lemoine was part of Luv' with Marga Scheide (the only original member) and Diana van Berlo between 1990 and 1992. She replaced Michelle Gold who could not cope with frequent round trips between the UK and Holland.

Carina's first performance with Luv' took place at the Pavillon discotheque in Valkenburg aan de Geul, the Netherlands on July 23rd, 1990.

Marga Scheide & José Hoebee: the leading ladies of Luv'!!!

The two former members of Holland's greatest girl group have always been proud of Luv's legacy! Here's their latest news:

* The latest issue of Story Zomer 2021 features an article about the summer holidays of Dutch celebrities (including Marga Scheide). "We go to our house in Ibiza off-season. It's not overcrowded and the weather is fine. In July and August, we are home and we like it. We live at the water's edge. We enjoy a drink there and we look for a nice café and we feel like we're on holiday," Marga explains.

Yesterday, the Luv' ladies were supposed to perform twice.

In the afternoon, they sang as part of an event named "De 24 uur van Montfoort" in Montfoort, Netherlands. Everything seemed good on the surface in the beginning but at the end of the show, José Hoebee did not feel well and was obliged to leave the stage. Marga Scheide and Chimène van Oosterhout ended the live performance without their colleague.

The group was expected to perform at a Flemish festival called "Vostertfeesten" in Bree, Belgium later that day next to disco acts like Gibson Brothers and Just A Little Bit More (featuring ex-Dolly Dots Anita & Esther). Due to José's illness, Luv' preferred to cancel their show. Earlier this week, the singer posted a message on her Facebook page insinuating that she was not in good shape but that "the show must go on".

A statement written by their tour manager David Hay Gibson was posted on the official Luv' fan page on Facebook to announce the bad news.

We wish José a speedy recovery and hope she will be back on stage soon!!!

We Luv' José very much!!!!

The Luv' ladies are not ready to retire!!!

Luv' latest news:

* The latest issue of Vrouw (a women's magazine, supplement to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaffeatures an interview with Luv' illustrated with beautiful and glamorous pictures.

Make-up by Carmen Zomers and Linda Hoevenaar Clothing: Typical Jill.

The ladies explain how Chimène van Oosterhout was recruited as a new Luv' singer. They discuss their public image in the 1970s and now. They insist that they don't intend to retire. "I don't consider Luv' as work. It's so nice to me. It's a hobby and I get paid for that," Marga Scheide says. "It's less hectic than in the past. Back in the day, I had a child waiting for me at home. Now my son is an adult so I have more time for myself," José Hoebee tells. "This is a new beginning for me. I'm so enthusiastic that Marga and José sometimes tell me: "Relax, otherwise you'll have a burnout," Chimène asserts.

Marga also mentions Luv's recent project in Miami: "It all started a couple of years ago. One day a man living in America called me: "I want to work with you. You'll have to fly to Miami." I replied: "But why us? You should better ask younger women". But he thought that I was talking nonsense. This kind of discrimination due to our age only happens in the Netherlands according to him. In America, they respect mature singers who succeeded in the music industry. He told me: "You sold 7 million records. It really means something"...In interviews, we proudly talked about our plans. But our producer had personal issues in his family so the project was shelved. The press raised doubts about the release of our new single and thought we were bragging."

The icing on the cake happened when the legendary girl group performed its brand new single entitled "With Him Tonight" for the very first time!!! This latin pop-reggaeton single was recorded in Miami, Fl in May and produced by Keith Morrison and Manuel Garrido-Lecca. The release of this song is imminent!!! So stay tuned...

With Him Tonight

Today's edition of Dutch newspaper "De Telegraaf" features an article about "With Him Tonight". "This reggaeton track that Keith produced is totally different from our old repertoire (Casanova, U.O.Me and You're the Greatest Lover). We did it on purpose. If we had wanted to record new songs with the old Luv' sound, we would not have been that far and we would have worked with Dutch producers. We wanted something new. A nice, fresh and contemporary sound because we want to reach a new audience," Marga Scheide told.

"Real Luv' fans are present during this fan club meeting. There are some men and women who were babies forty years ago. Some of these ladies and gentlemen now have children or grandchildren. These new generations should enjoy Luv's new music on their Spotify playlist," she added.
