On September 12th, Patty Brard and Guido Spek attended the premiere of the musical "Diana & Zonen" at the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam. Other Dutch celebrities (including André van Duin and Janny van der Heijden) were also present.
This musical is about the late Princess of Wales, Lady Diana (portrayed by Marlijn Weerdenburg) and her family (including her sons Harry (Freek Bartels) and William (Jonathan Demoor) and her daughters in law Kate (Liss Walravens) and (Danique Graanoogst). On July 6th, Dutch media personality and pop singer Gordon gave a big farewell party on his 53rd birthday in Blaricum before moving to Dubai. Dutch celebrities (including Patty Brard) were invited. The dress code was Arabian Nights.

On March 25th, Patty Brard will turn 65! The release party of Michel van Egmond and Antoinnette Scheulderman's book about her life and her birthday festivities were supposed to take place on that special day. Due to the Coronavirus, these events were cancelled earlier this week.

Since February 22nd, Patty Brard has been present at the stand of Kruidvat (Dutch chain of drugstores) at the 75th Huishoudbeurs (houseware fair) in Amsterdam. This event ends tomorrow.
The TV personality and Dutch-American model Mariana Verkerk opened the Huishoudbeurs last weekend.

La Brard has used the popular fair as a platform to present her collection of panther-print household items (From PB with love) and her forthcoming biography (written by Michel van Egmond and Antoinnette Scheulderman).
Thousands of people (unknowns and celebrities including Guido Spek, Laura Ponticorvo and Henny Huisman) have visited Patty's pop-up shop and posed with her for photos and videos posted on social media.

On December 20th, Patty Brard enjoyed beautiful circus acts as part of the Wereldkerstcircus, a flamboyant show at the Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam. This event was organized by Henk van der Meijden, the Godfather of Dutch gossip journalism (founder of Privé magazine and former gossip columnist for De Telegraaf). In addition to La Brard, other celebrities (including Gerard Joling, André van Duin and Bridget Maasland attended the show.

Yesterday, Patty Brard attended the opening of the Cobra Art Gallery at the House of Snobs, a department store in Enschede, Netherlands. Click here to watch a video of this event.
Patty's presence is the result of a recent auction for the Kluivert Dog Rescue Center (launched by Rossana Kluivert, wife of the football legend Patrick Kluivert). "Someone bid for my presence as a present to Désirée Kuiper (owner of House of Snobs). That's why I'm here," the ex-Luv' singer told Gerben Kuitert (journalist working for the Dutch newspaper Tubantia).
The diva really enjoyed the Cobra Art Gallery and the House of Snobs. "I'm very impressed. They don't have such a store in Amsterdam," Patty said.
On October 8th, Patty Brard and fellow celebrities (including Carlo Boszhard, Gerard Ekdom and Fred van Leer) attended the 30th-anniversary party of Irene Moor.
Irene appeared for the first time on the small screen on October 8th, 1988 when she presented "Dit Is Disney" on NCRV. Her breakthrough happened later with RTL 4's program "Telekids" that she co-hosted with Carlo Boszhard in the 1990s. Currently, she works on SBS 6.

Two days ago, Patty Brard presented the Televizier Aanstormend Talent Award (Best New Talent) during the Gouden Televizier-Ring Gala (Dutch TV awards). The ceremony took place at the AFAS Live (formerly known as the Heineken Music Hall) in Amsterdam and was broadcast live on AVROTROS/NPO 1.
Prior to the annoucement of the nominees, the former Luv' singer gave an enthusiastic and humorous speech which included advice on "how to become a TV star". As an experienced media personality who has been working on the small screen for 35 years, the diva mentioned her participation in panel games and juries on talent shows.
The Best New Talent award went to Kaj Gorgels (of RTL 4 and RTL 5).
Patty received many positive comments about her funny speech on social media.

Yesterday, Patty Brard appeared on RTL 4's infotainment program "RTL Boulevard" (879.000 viewers/market share: 19.7%). The diva announced great news. She will host the new season of the reality show "Hotter Than My Daughter" on RTL 5. Previously, this program was presented by Gordon on RTL 4. It is based on a British format hosted by Atomic Kitten member Liz McClarnon on BBC Three. It focuses on mother/daughter relationships in which the mothers claim to be hotter than their daughters. The ex-Luv' singer already mentioned "Hotter Than My Daughter" in one of her colums for Weekend magazine (see news posted on April 5th, 2013). Miss Brard's new TV project marks her comeback on RTL. Between 1989 and 2006, Patty was involved in many programs for RTL Nederland (including the popular reality show "Patty's Posse" on Yorin in 2003 and 2004). In 2011, Diva's draaien door (RTL 4) featured Patty with Patricia Paay and Tatjana Simic. In 2013, she was a freelancer on RTL 5 and hosted Wie is de Reisleider?, Echte Meisjes op de Prairie and Lust, Liefde Of Laten Lopen (Dutch version of Snog Marry Avoid?). She even replaced Quinty Trustfull temporarily to co-host RTL 4's morning show "Koffietijd" with Loretta Schrijver (see news posted on May 13th, 2013). On September 29th, Patty Brard hosted an event called "Zeist op de rode loper" in Zeist, Netherlands. The aim of this event (which included a fashion show) was to put the entrepreneurs from Zeist in the spotlight.
* The fourth season of Dutch TV series "Familie Kruys" (starring Linda de Mol) premiered on RTL 4 on September 2nd. Linda revealed on RTL 4's infotainment program "RTL Boulevard" which celebrities would appear on "Familie Kruys". Among them is Patty Brard.

* On September 2nd, the final episode of BNNVARA/NPO 3's panel game "Ranking the Stars" (hosted by Paul de Leeuw and featuring Patty Brard) attracted 544.000 viewers (market share: 10.2%).
The ex-Luv' singer said during the program that Dutch media tycoon John de Mol didn't want women weighing more than 50 kilos on television. She reacted to Karin Bloemen's remark.
"I've known John de Mol for many years. I had an audition in his office for the comedy "De kip en het ei". He wasn't impressed by me so he never called me and apparently he will never do it," Karin Bloemen explained.
Patty replied: "He doesn't like women weighing more than 50 kilos. That's what I've experienced with him. It's not mean. It's just the way it is. He doesn't like voluptuous women on television. He wants them thin and blonde. That's what he prefers to watch".
Karin added: "It's strange what you say about these thin and blonde women because he's a fan of a big blonde girl: his own sister (Linda de Mol)".
Richard Groenendijk reacted as well: "Well, this is the end of Karin Bloemen's career. They always want young and fresh girls. They even recruit popular YouTubers but if you see the TV ratings of Patty on Bonje met de buren, you can notice that she is popular, even among youngsters".
Patty said to Richard: "That's what I'm talking about. It's all about being fat".

* On September 5th, Patty celebrated the 13th anniversary of her first meeting with her greatest LUVer Antoine van de Vijver. She posted a picture of her husband and her on Instagram. Four years ago, Patty and Antoine got married (see news posted on September 15th, 2014).

* Patty's latest column for Weekend magazine deals with RTL 4's talent show "The Voice Senior". The former SBS 6 star thinks that there are too many coaches for this program. Angela Groothuizen, Ilse DeLange, Marco Borsato, Gerard Joling and Gordon are the coaches on "The Voice Senior". Only four episodes are broadcast. Apart from this criticism, Patty really appreciates this talent show.
* Recently, La Brard attended the Amsterdam Fashion Week. The YouTube channel of the Amsterdam XXXL magazine features an interview with the diva who discussed fashion, her weight loss and her latest TV project (Brard & Jekel: VetGelukkig?! on NTR).
On June 23rd, Patty Brard attended the opening party of Xaxa Restaurant, the lounge club of Dutch footballer Wesley Sneijder and his wife Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau in Ibiza. The diva was charmed by Xess Xava (son of the successful couple) and even posted a picture on social media telling that he was the "most beautiful adoptive grandchild you can ever dream of":
