Patty Brard (with her husband Antoine van de Vijver) interviewed by RTL Boulevard before the court hearing
Earlier today, the Dutch media announced that Patty Brard faced her sister in court. This family feud was already mentioned earlier this year (see news posted on March 11st, 2020). Patty Brard discussed legal problems with her sister Debby on her travel show with Gordon on SBS6. "Due to a very complicated situation, I haven't seen my mother for a long time," she said. The diva explained that she had been legally in conflict with her sister for five years and that she was not allowed to see her mother. She hired Dutch lawyer Bénédicte Ficq to find a solution whereas Marielle van Essen (who works on RTL 4's infotainment program RTL Boulevard) represented Debby. The ex-Luv' singer was accused of stealing money from her father who died five years ago (see news posted on February 12th, 2015).
Just before Patty was on lockdown in Ibiza due to the Covid-19, her lawyer could arrange a meeting between the diva and her mother. (see news posted on March 21st, 2020). The SBS6 star later posted several messages on social media to show happy moments with her mother (including her 90th birthday - see news posted on August 4th, 2020).
But today the larger than life TV personality and her sibling appeared in court to solve their problems. A camera crew of RTL Boulevard filmed Patty before and after the hearing. When asked what the verdict was, La Brard was smiling and said: "If you want to know what really happened, ask my sister's lawyer Marielle van Essen who also works for you". Van Essen made no comment.
