Patty Brard cancels theater tour

Three days ago, it was announced that Patty Brard's theater tour "One Woman Power Show - Verhalen Uit De Oude Doos" was cancelled because of her hectic schedule on television. This tour was planned for 2020 to celebrate the diva's 65th birthday (see news posted on January 6th and May 11th, 2019).

"I've been taping my new TV show "Zo Goed Als Nieuw" for 50 days. Then I'm going to travel the world with Gordon for another program and later I'll be busy with something else," La Brard told SBS 6's entertainment news program "Shownieuws". "The biography will go on and there will be a big party for my 65th birthday," she added.

However, the TV personality hasn't given up totally this theater project. "I want to do it very well later. That's why Richard Groenendijk will help me to write a show next year," she explained.

On May 7th, the ex-Luv' singer appeared on "M" (Margriet van der Linden's talk show on KRO-NCRV/NPO 1) to promote her one-woman show. The TV program drew 807.000 viewers (market share: 21.3%). Miss Brard told that a biography written by Michel van Egmond and Antoinnette Scheulderman would be published in addition to her theater tour. It will be a perfect occasion to celebrate her 65th birthday next year.

Patty Brard plans a one-woman show in 2020

Patty Brard is "on fire" by her own admission. To celebrate her 65th birthday, the diva will star in a "one-woman power show". That's what she announced in her latest column for Weekend magazine.

Dutch comedian Ruben van der Meer and media personality Tijl Beckhand will be involved in this theater project.

Patty came up with this idea during the taping of RTL 4's celebrity photo contest "Het Perfecte Plaatje" (hosted by Tijl Beckhand).

Since her gastric bypass and her amazing weight loss, the former Luv' singer enjoyed a renaissance in the media. Recently, she has been involved in several TV shows (including Vetgelukkig?!, Hotter Than My Daughter and Het Perfecte Plaatje).

2020 will be a special year for her. In addition to this long-awaited theater show, a biography written by Dutch author Michel van Egmond and his partner, journalist Antoinnette Scheulderman, will be published.

In 2012, La Brard was impressed when she attended Joan Collins 'one-woman show" simply entitled 'One Night with Joan' at DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam (see news posted on April 23rd, 2012).
