The latest issue of Story magazine features an article about Patty Brard. The SBS6 diva discussed Luv' and the Bridget Maasland and André Hazes' secret romance at her wedding in 2014.
Just before the announcement of Luv's break-up, Patricia Paay was approached to know if she wanted to replace José Hoebee who had been ill since late August. La Paay refused to join the group (see news posted on January 29th, 2020). Story asked Patty what her opinion about this surprising news was. "Well, they know that I'm not interested in being part of the group anymore. But when the news about Patricia being asked to join Luv' was announced in the media, I received a message from her. She wrote: "Listen, you won't believe what they asked me. Do they really think I'm going to do it?" She also told me that she never spoke to the journalist (Jan Uriot from De Telegraaf/Privé) who wrote the article. I believe her. Marga has always been good at generating publicity. She always tries to make the others look bad. Marga is said to do the dirty work in Luv' but that's the only thing she can do," Patty explained.
La Brard also talked about Bridget Maasland and André Hazes' romance during her wedding party in 2014. At the time, André was not single. This secret love affair caused a sensation in the Dutch tabloid press. Bridget even went to court and declared that she only French kissed André. Witnesses told instead that the TV presenter's underwear ended up around her ankles. Of course, Patty knew what really happened that night. "I don't want to talk about it. But I think it's brave to ignore the facts," the ex-Luv' singer told.
