Patty Brard and Antoine van de Vijver
Patty Brard will leave SBS 6's entertainment news program "Shownieuws" in September. The former Luv' singer announced her decision on Instagram. Dutch media immediately covered this news. The diva has been busy with this TV show for 10 years. Between 2007 and 2011, she co-hosted it with Viktor Brand. After a 20-month hiatus, she came back on Shownieuws as a showbiz expert in early 2013.
As an architect, her husband Antoine is getting busier in Ibiza. Patty misses him a lot. That's what motivated her choice to emigrate to the Balearic island as well as the sale of her beautiful house in Amstelveen (see news posted on March 30th, 2017).
The end of her participation in Shownieuws doesn't mean the end of her career. Patty will fly back to Holland in case of sporadic activities on TV and she keeps on writing her weekly columns for Weekend magazine. Moreover, she will soon open a gift shop and has her own corrective underwear line.
