Patty Brard in AD: "I haven't been so sad since the death of my little brother Robert"

Yesterday, Dutch newspaper AD published an article about Patty Brard. Click here to read an excerpt. The diva discussed her sorrow due to the death of Lulu, one of her little dogs. "I have not been so sad since the death of my little brother Robert in 2004. I miss her so much. Bibi also misses her, by the way," Patty said. This sad news happened a few weeks before the publication of Patty's first children's book based on her two dogs and entitled "Bibi & Lulu: Het is feest!" (which comes out today!).

At the moment, her husband, Antoine van de Vijver is in their house in Ibiza, as she stays in Amstelveen. Recently, she had her operation on her knee (see news posted on October 31st, 2020). Her good friend Guido Spek is helping her. The musician and former actor of the popular soap opera "Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden" wrote the songs for Bibi and Lulu's audiobook.

2020 was a special year for the ex-Luv' singer. There were big plans for her on SBS6, the Dutch commercial channel part of Talpa TV with whom she signed a 4-year contract last year. Earlier this year, following the travel show she co-hosted with Gordon, she worked on a daily talk show with him. But the Covid-19 pandemic ruined this TV project which has been shelved (see news posted on November 4th, 2020). Due to the same virus, Patty's 65th birthday party was cancelled. This event was supposed to take place at a prestigious hotel in Amsterdam and was combined with the release party of her biography and other big festivities (see news posted on March 14th, 2020). Then the larger than life media personality and her husband were on lockdown in Ibiza with their dogs for almost two months (see news posted on March 21st, 2020).

Then she was reunited with her mother and daughter Priscilla after years without contact (see news posted on March 21st and September 9th, 2020). Here's what La Brard told about her reconciliation with Priscilla: "What a great happiness. This morning she sent me three Whatsapp messages saying "I love you, mama" illustrated with a heart...She spent the whole day with me last Friday. She asked if she could come to eat at home. She's an adult but sometimes I still think she is my little girl. It's because I haven't seen her for so long”.
