Two weeks ago, the tell-all book entitled "Patty: de negen levens van Patty Brard" (written by Michel van Egmond and Antoinnette Scheulderman) entered successfully the Dutch bestseller lists (see news posted on April 4th, 2020).
This week, the publication remains popular in the same lists: #5 on De Bestseller 60 (a list by the Collectieve Propaganda van het Nederlandse Boek ("Collective Promotion for the Dutch Book") representing Dutch bookstores and publishers), #4 on the AKO Boeken top 100, #5 on the Bruna Top 10 and #5 on the Bruna eBook top 10, #6 on Libris.nl (Top 10 Non-fictie), #5 on The Read Shop Top 50 and #17 on Paagman.nl.
Excerpts from the book are often published in the press to keep it hot. Recently, several subjects (included in the biography or related to it) have recently been discussed in the media. Among them are:
- Patty Brard forwarding Patricia Paay's sex tape to her contacts after she received it.
- The diva cancelling an interview with De Telegraaf seven minutes before it was supposed to happen but finally, after the intervention of the publisher and the authors of the book, the interview took place.
- La Brard revealing RTL's internal problems (whereas she was freelancing for this company) to TV mogul John de Mol.
- The way Patty and Talpa TV secretly negotiated a contract behind RTL's back.
