The winter 2019/2020 issue of Party Hollandse Hitmix features an article about feuds between members of legendary Dutch pop groups (Luv', Maywood and Mouth & MacNeal).
Fortunately, the real tensions within Luv' are over now that Patty Brard is not part of the trio. In 1980, as the Luv' ladies were at the height of their fame, La Brard left the group which caused the interruption of many projects (promotion in Russia and Australia, a TV series, the participation in the World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo in order to conquer Asia, live and TV performances...). Ria Thielsch rapidly replaced Luv's enfant terrible and the group continued for several months. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Patty used her influence in the media to constantly diss José. A reconciliation happened in 2005 and the original Luv' trio was active until 2012. The SBS6 diva used Machiavellian plans to stop the publication of Luv's long-awaited photo book (conceived by Peter Boonstra) in 2015.
Patty cannot stand the fact that since 2016 Luv' (featuring Ria later replaced by Chimène van Oosterhout) has been touring the nostalgia circuit in the Netherlands and Belgium without her.
Now the real issue is José Hoebee's mental and physical health. Hopefully, Luv' will be back for good in 2020.
