Once again José Hoebee unfairly target of the tabloid press!!!

Luv' in happier times earlier this year

On November 6th, Dutch most popular newspaper De Telegraaf published an article about José Hoebee in its "Prive" section (entertainment news). The text written by gossip columnist Jan Uriot was illustrated with a horrible picture of the Luv' singer to make the situation worse. Since late August, the Luv' ladies have stopped their activities due to José's burnout (see news posted on September 15th, 2019). This subject had already been discussed in the media but Holland's number-one tabloid decided to add fuel to the fire instead of leaving José alone.

On November 1st, José posted a message for her fans and friends on her Facebook page. "I'm busy with medical exams and I do my best to be in better shape. So please stop your questions about my health. I want to rest and hopefully everything's going to be OK," she wrote.

Marga Scheide was interviewed by De Telegraaf shortly afterwards. When asked if she considered the fact that José might not be back in Luv', she answered: "I hope not". "We were so happy after Chimène's arrival. Last summer we released a single for the first time in many years. And now we've got this problem. I don't know what's up with José. She suffers physically and mentally. She's having exams. Let's hope she will be alright soon. With our manager Brigitte Vis, we've decided to cancel all our live shows for the three coming months. There is no other solution at the moment. It's hard to ask José every week: "how are you? Do you think you'll be back on stage next week?". She needs rest. We want to give José time to find the real reasons for her pain," Marga told.

The blonde Luv' lady remembered the moment when José went wrong. "It happened during our two latest performances. We were singing to a full house. I watched to the left where she was supposed to be on stage and all of a sudden she disappeared. Chimène and I kept on singing and we didn't know where José was. Actually, she was backstage because she didn't feel well. The same thing happened one week later. Everybody understood we could not go on like that. We are a party act. We can't sing happy songs with worried faces," Marga said.

This article by Jan Uriot is very disappointing as the journalist has always been an ally of Luv'. The ladies even celebrated his birthday last year (see news posted on December 3rd, 2018). Recently, Jan covered positive news about Luv': the recruitment of Chimène van Oosterhout, the group's stay in Miami to record the reggaeton single "With Him Tonight" and the release of it. The tabloid press cannot be trust because of its inconstancy. Sooner or later it publishes terrifying items just to sell more papers or to generate more views on the internet and social media.

This touchy issue was also discussed on the two leading entertainment news programs on Dutch TV:  RTL Boulevard on RTL 4 (681.000 viewers/market share: 15.9% on November 5th) and Shownieuws on SBS 6 (443.000 viewers/market share: 14% on November 6th).

Other Dutch websites (Weekend-online.nl, RTLnieuws.nl, Story.nl, MSN.nl...) also mentioned the sad news.
