Bonnie & José in happier times (2013)
A couple of days ago, a vindictive message was posted on the Facebook page of Bonnie St Claire. The legendary singer targeted her former colleague José Hoebee as well as Evert Santegoeds and Jan Uriot of celebrity gossip magazine "Privé".
Bonnie & José teamed up in the 1980s to record Dutch cover versions of ABBA songs. In 2013, they relaunched briefly their duo. Bonnie's drinking problems provoked the end of their partnership.
Recently, José reacted to an incident that occured during a live performance of Bonnie (see news posted on May 31st, 2017).
In her aggresive Facebook post, Bonnie described José as a "boozer" and a "leech".
The Luv' singer gave a phone interview on "Shownieuws" (SBS 6's entertainment news program) and didn't show any sign of anger. She was convinced that this text full of hatred was written by Bonnie's management. Yesterday she even replied on her Facebook page:
"I've watched Shownieuws....I love Bonnie....I'll never be negative about her.....Are these words from her management? I want to hear them from her mouth....Not via other people...She is my friend...and she knows it....Despite bad influence....and fortunately many people know it...". José added a video of "Zoals Vrienden Doen" (her duet single with Bonnie) to her message.
