Pics and videos: Luv' @ Hilversum Alive

Collage by Karin Angeleyes

Finally they did it!!!! Yesterday, Luv' performed during "Foute Zondag" at the "Hilversum Alive" festival. The girl group hadn't given a show for almost four years (see news posted on August 12th, 2012). Actually it had been the first public gig of the line-up featuring Marga Scheide, José Hoebee and Ria Thielsch since 1980!!!

The trio sang their greatest hits (U.O.Me, You're the Greatest Lover, Trojan Horse, Casanova and Ooh, Yes I Do) as well as a medley.

José expressed satisfaction on Facebook. "What a great day today.....First performance of Luv' with Ria.....It went very well....The audience was good and we were so motivated....It's so nice that our music delighted everybody. And you make us happy....Ria, Marga and José....are Luv'," the singer wrote.

Two videos of the show have been uploaded to YouTube:

Patty Brard's column about Paul van Gorcum

Paul and Lenie van Gorcum

Patty Brard's latest column for Weekend magazine deals with legendary Dutch actor Paul van Gorcum. Currently the 82 year-old comedian is fighting cancer. His wife Lenie told the media that if he could not be cured, the couple would be euthanized together. A very touchy and taboo issue.

Patty Brard in Weekend: "Ajouad El Miloudi is a brat!"

TV host Paul de Leeuw with the candidates of the new season of "Ranking the Stars" (including Patty Brard, Anny Schilder, Bridget Maasland and Ajouad El Miloudi)

Several days ago, Patty Brard took part in the taping of the new season of BNN/NPO 3's panel game "Ranking the Stars" (see news posted on June 7th, 2016). The diva was disturbed by her colleague, TV personality Ajouad El Miloudi. That's what she told in a recent column published in Weekend magazine. "Every season I say to myself: it was the most intense one ever. But Oops! The latest series was the most extreme ever. Verbal attacks between Ajouad El Miloudi and me as well as a feud between Karin Bloemen and Wibi Soerjadi happened in the studio," the former Luv' singer wrote. La Brard called El Miloudi a "brat".

This kind of so-called quarrels between celebrities is the name of the game in showbiz and is often used as a publicity stunt to keep the public's attention.

José & Hans at the society lunch "Rock around the Castle"

Yesterday, Luv' singer José Hoebee and her former producer Hans van Hemert attended the society lunch "Rock around the Castle" organized by Tony Tetro at the Kasteel De Wittenburg in Wassenaar, South Holland. The theme of the event was "Back to the 1950's" (Elvis Presley, Marylin Monroe, Rock n' roll, juke box music.....). Many Dutch celebrities were present too (including Dutch girl group Camee (Hans' latest protégées), José's dear friend Viola Holt, ex-Babe singer Gemma van Eck....).
