"Met de deur in huis": decline in viewing figures due to Eurovision Song Contest


On May 14th, SBS 6's comedy panel game show "Met de deur in huis" (featuring Patty Brard as a panellist) attracted 416.000 viewers (market share: 6%). This decline in TV ratings is due to the fact that the program aired simultaneously than the latest Eurovision Song Contest (which saw the victory of Jamala who represented Ukraine with her song "1944"; the Netherlands finished 11th with Douwe Bob and his track "Slow Down"). The European music competition is very popular in Holland and drew 4.254.000 viewers (market share: 66%).
