Patty's column on "Nashville"

Patty Brard's latest column for Weekend magazine deals with American TV series "Nashville" (which airs on Netflix, a provider of on-demand Internet streaming media available to viewers). "Nashville" is a musical drama series which chronicles the lives of various fictitious country music stars. The city of Nashville is known as one of the US centers of the music industry. Patty compares it with Volendam, NL which is famous for its distinctive music called "Palingsound" (literally "eel sound") in reference to Volendam's status as a fishing village. Popular Dutch acts like The Cats, BZN, Jan Smit, 3Js and Nick & Simon are part of the Palingsound scene. According to the SBS 6 diva, Volendam could be "the perfect arena for a new Dutch TV series inspired by "Nashville".
