Patty's column about Ferry Doedens

Ferry Doedens is a 25-year old Dutch actor, famous for his role in "Goede tijden, slechte tijden" (the most popular soap opera in the Netherlands). Last year, he even got a guest role in "The Bold and The Beautiful". Patty and him sometimes appeared together on BNN/NPO 3 panel game "Ranking the Stars".

Recently, Endemol (which produces GTST) fired Doedens from the series because of absenteeism caused by drug use. On July 20th, the young man admitted his addiction on RTL 4's entertainment news show "RTL Boulevard".

Patty's latest column for Weekend magazine deals with Doedens. The diva thinks that Ferry's revelation in the media is not a smart decision. "He doesn't realize that he's going to be the "ex-drug addict who once was dismissed from GTST" for the rest of his life. He should have solved his problem secretly. It may be hypocritical but it would have been smarter," the Shownieuws star writes.

Miss Brard appreciates the fact that RTL Boulevard expert and theatrical producer Albert Verlinde spoke up for him. By the way, Ferry is supposed to perform in the latest Dutch version of the "Grease" musical. The music show is produced by Stage Entertainment Netherlands whose managing director is.......Verlinde.

Patty knows Doedens as "someone enthusiastic". "But Ferry as a drug addict, no, I don't know him that way," she tells.
