Yesterday the press launch of "The Story of Luv" (Luv's photo book) took place at Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, NL (see previous post).
Dutch illusionist Hans Klok hosted the event. He interviewed the author (Peter Boonstra) José Hoebee and Marga Scheide.
Peter explained how he developed his project (he got in touch with Universal Music, De Telegraaf....). When asked what was the best moment in Luv's career, José could not mention one in particular as the group went through so many things during their glory years. Marga said that their guest performance at De Toppers shows in 2006 was her best memory. The former Luv' singers also told that back in the day they did not have time to pick up all the golden records they had abroad. Marga regretted that Patty Brard refused to collaborate on the book and that she wanted to impose Peter penalties.
Then media personality Viola Holt gave Marga a cross necklace and José a jewellery chain. The ladies received the first copy of the book from the hands of Peter. Luv's legendary producer Hans van Hemert said he was impressed by the publication.
Finally, Hans Klok, José, Peter, Marga, Ria Thielsch (Patty's replacement in 1980) and Hans van Hemert posed for photographs.
