Pat's column about K3

K3

Patty Brard's latest column for Weekend magazine deals with Flemish-Dutch girl group "K3". The trio was formed in 1998. The original members were Karen Damen, Kristel Verbeke and Kathleen Aerts. Since their debut album, K3 has targeted a very young public (children less than 10 years old). In addition to huge record sales in the Netherlands and Belgium, the ladies and their production team (Studio 100) have the midas touch: their DVDs, their live performances, their TV shows, their musicals and their prolific merchandising have been hits!

In July 2006, Luv' and K3 took part in the taping of the VTM music show "Tien Om Te Zien" in Blankenberge, Belgium:

In 2009, Kathleen left the group and was replaced by Josje Huisman who was cast on a TV talent show "K2 zoekt K3" (featuring Patty in the jury and broadcast by SBS 6 in Holland and VTM in Belgium ). The success story of the trio continued.

On March 18, 2015, the three singers announced that they would leave the group next year. New girls will be recruited via another talent show "K3 zoekt K3" which will air on SBS 6.

In her column, Patty explained that in recent years, anytime she met the ladies, she noticed that Josje always kept herself apart from her two other colleagues. As a former member of a girl group, La Brard knows exactly this kind of situation.
