Tomorrow, JoséHoebee will take part in the taping of RTL 4 lifestyle program "Life is beautiful". That's why the singer went yesterday to "Just A Joke" fashion store in Hilversum and Baarn to choose the perfect look.
JoséHoebee took part in the taping of "Toppers van Oranje", a music show on TV Oranjeat Voltage Tilburg in Tilburg, NL on June 22nd. She sang her latest song "Noheyo". A video of this program has been uploaded to YouTube. José's performance starts at 23:05. By the way, Carina Lemoine (member of Marga's Luv' in the early 1990s) briefly sings "Niet te geloven" at 14:05.
Moreover, José participated in other tapings of "Toppers van Oranje" last month in Kropswolde, NL (see news posted on August 5th, 2014). Her renditions will air first on September 20th at 7:30 P.M on TV Oranje and then on October 4th same time, same channel.
Today, Dutch radio station Puur Nationaal has broadcast an interview with José Hoebee. The singer was interviewed by Nick Holland on his "Hollandse Hits Forum Top 40 Show". She told that being a member of Luv' was "a little girl's dream". José admitted that though her latest single "Noheyo" was not a mainstream success, she was happy it got airplay and it was a good opportunity to tell the public that "she was still around".
Three of her tracks were played during the show: Luv's Megamix '93, her signature song "I Will Follow Him" and "Noheyo".
* Last weekend, Bride-to-be Patty Brard was "kidnapped" by her friends who organized a bachelorette party in London. The ladies had lots of fun. The diva posted a nice picture on social media:

* Yesterday, the former Luv' singer was the guest on RTL 4's morning show "Koffietijd" (which drew 210.000 viewers / market share: 26.7%). She discussed several subjects (including her widely publicized wedding with Antoine van de Vijver and her latest reality show on SBS 6). All of a sudden, former TV host, coach and entrepeneur Carlo Strijk(one of my Facebook friends) appeared on the program with a shirtless young man to give Patty a special award. La Brard was proclaimed "Homomoeder 2014". Recently, Dutch website Gay.nl conducted a poll to choose Holland's most popular female celebrity in the gay community. In addition to Patty, the other nominees were Ilse de Lange, Raffaëla Paton, Anita Meijer and ex-Luv' colleague José Hoebee. The "Homomoeder" is most of the time a leading lady over 40. Carlo gave a good speech on gay rights in the world (homophobia in Russia, Africa and even in the Netherlands). Miss Brard was honoured to be the ambassador of the DutchLGBT community. No wonder that she won this prize as she took part in many gay events (including Amsterdam Gay Pride and the Roze Maandag) and often expressed her opinion on gay issues.

Here's a recap of Patty Brard's latest TV appearances.
- The August 21st episode of "Linda's Zomerweek", Linda de Mol's high-rated talk show on RTL 4 featured the larger than life entertainer and drew 1.306.000 viewers(market share: 22.9%). The diva discussed many subjects: Luv' ("We were treated like pop stars....We were big abroad....Our success caused relationship problems....Luv' became Marga's registered trademark behind our back"), her bankruptcy twenty years ago, her new reality show and her wedding with Antoine van de Vijver, the fact that she is not on speaking terms with her daughter Priscilla and that she really missed her, the San Remo Festival that she hosted in 1985.....
The program was taped before the recent reconciliation of Patty and her former Luv' colleague José Hoebee (see news posted on August 14th, 2014). That's why the SBS 6 star didn't talk about the trio's heyday in the late 1970s in a positive way.
- La Brard's latest reality show "Patty's Big Fat Ibiza Wedding" premiered on August 22nd on SBS 6 and attracted 512.000 viewers (market share: 8.3%). The audience could see the wedding preparations of the diva.

- Miss Brard appeared on BNN/NPO 3's panel game show "Ranking the Stars" (hosted by Paul de Leeuw) on August 24th. The program drew 465.000 viewers (market share: 6.6%). A funny moment happened during this episode. The candidates were asked to show a picture of them with a celebrity. Dutch comedian Marc-Marie Huijbregts brought an old photo of him with Ria Thielsch (member of the 1980-81 lineup). When asked why she was replaced by Ria, Patty answered: "I disappeared!". "But Luv' stopped shortly afterwards!" she added.

"Eeny Meeny Miny Moe" (the seventh single by Luv') entered the Dutch charts on August 25th, 1979. This pop song appears on the formation's second album "Lots Of Luv'" (see article posted on May 26th, 2014). It was the group's last single release by Phonogram/Philips Records before their transfer to CNR/Carrere. Though it was a respectable hit record, it didn't achieve the sales of the previous records.
History
After the success of "Casanova" (see article posted on April 28th, 2014) on the Continental European charts, the trio's label decided to release "Eeny Meeny Miny Moe" as a follow-up single. The song's title and chorus lyrics dealt with a famous children's counting rhyme in English speaking countries. Its Bouzouki and Balalejka-theme is highly inspired by Boney M's Rasputin. The track hadn't the hit potential of the #1 singles "You're the Greatest Lover" and "Trojan Horse". When it came out, Luv' was experiencing trouble with Phonogram. The singers and their producer Hans van Hemert considered indeed that the record company didn't do its best to promote them abroad. Moreover, Holland's sweethearts had to face the competition with two other girl groups in their homeland (Babe and Dolly Dots) which became more and more popular. Fortunately, Luv' took advantage of a big exposure in the media as they performed "Eeny Meeny Miny Moe" live at the IFA (the world's largest consumer electronics trade fair in Berlin) on "Musikladen" (a high-rated German TV show) on August 30th, 1979. They also promoted the song on other legendary TV programs (including AVRO's TopPop).
Chart performance
"Eeny Meeny Miny Moe" peaked at #6 on the Nationale Hitparade and #11 on the Dutch Top 40. It reached #9 in Belgium, #8 in Denmark, #17 in Switzerland and #36 in Germany.

Today's edition of Dutch daily newspaper AD (Algemeen Dagblad) features an article about Patty Brard, her wedding with Antoine van de Vijver and her new reality TV show which premieres on Friday at 8.00 P.M on SBS 6. The diva tells that she is busy with the preparations 24/7. The couple will get married in Amstelveen, NL on September 15th. Then they will spend 10 days in Ibiza performing love and hippie rituals before a final ceremony on the Spanish party island.
The former Luv' singer got married three times in the past. Her previous husbands were TV star Ron Brandsteder (1979-1980), Italian record producer and music publisher Carlo Nasi (1983-1989) and Pop singer René Muthert (1999-2004).
"Gerard Joling will host the ceremony in Ibiza," the TV personality says. We're going to spend some time there doing rituals with friends. Buddhist monks will come along. There'll also be a karaoke night and a hippie bingo. We're gonna film everything," she adds.
However, the honeymoon that follows their Ibiza extravaganza won't be taped.
