Patty Brard's latest column in Weekend magazine is about "Show Vandaag", the forthcoming infotainement program on SBS 6 hosted by Beau van Erven Dorens and Cynthia Abma. Patty clarified her involvment in this late-afternoon TV show. "Show Vandaag" will deal with serious news but also entertainment, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, travel and cooking. Four "experts" of "Shownieuws Laat" (Renate Gerschtanowitz, Evert Santegoeds, Koos van Plateringen and Miss Brard) will be in charge of the "entertainment" part of the program in turn.
Recently there has been a misunderstanding about Pat's role in "Show Vandaag". Some websites announced that the former Luv' singer would be a co-anchor with Beau (see news posted on August 31st 2013).
In late September, Albert Verlinde (of "RTL Boulevard") told that the diva proclaimed at a recent press conference that she would be "one of the main presenters". Ironically, Verlinde said that it was not true and that she would "just be an expert". But Patty explained how this misinterpretation happened. After the presentation of the 2013-2014 TV season in Ibiza, the collaboration between Beau and her attracted so much attention that the recruitment of Cynthia Abma as the co-host with Van Erven Dorens took the media by surprise. They considered it as a "bad news for Patty" whereas the "larger than life" TV personality never made a real statement about her collaboration on "Show Vandaag". In her column, La Brard reassured the readers when she wrote that Beau and Cynthia would be the real duo and that the four members of "Shownieuws" would be the sidekicks.
