Patty Brard's failed dive on Sterren Springen was big news in Holland in late August and September. Eyeworks, which produced the show, promoted "Celebrity Splash" (the international name of the format) at the latest MIPCOM in Cannes, France. The program has been sold to major TV channels including ABC (USA), TF1 (France) and Seven Network (Australia) (see news posted on October 10th 2012). Reinout Oerlemans, CEO of Eyeworks, admitted that he used Patty's dive as a publicity stunt to promote his format worldwide. Today an article mentioning La Brard as the "kind of big deal in the low countries" has been posted on the website of B&T (Australia's leading title for the advertising, marketing, media and PR industries).
