LUV' gave yesterday their final show at Dutch Valley in Spaarnwoude, NL. The festival was composed of several stages (Rock, Hip Hop, Dutch Pop, 80's/90's music...) and drew 35.000 people. It was an emotional performance as it's the end of a 35-year story. This special gig was José's first public appearance since the death of her husband.
LUV' was created in 1976 by Hans van Hemert with the assistance of Piet Souer. The three pop stars reached their peak between 1978 and 1980 by scoring hit after hit (U.O.Me, You're the Greatest Lover, Trojan Horse, Casanova, Ooh Yes I Do..). Their first break-up happened in 1981. Eight years later, Marga relaunched the pop act with two other girls. In 1993 and 2005, the original formation reunited. In 2006, the ladies appeared on RTL 5 reality show "Back In Luv" and were the guest stars during three mega shows of De Toppers at the Amsterdam ArenA. They later toured the Netherlands and Flanders (Belgium).

I would like to thank José, Patty & Marga for the good vibrations they give to their public. I also want to pay tribute to all the fans as well as Hans van Hemert & Piet Souer a.k.a Janschen & Janschens who wrote so many classic hits. Despite the group's demise, I will go on with the blog and I will cover the solo activities of the singers.
