Patty's comments about the Dutch showbiz are often discussed on the internet.
During the broadcast on July 19th, the diva dissed her ex-colleague Jan Versteegh. It was the second time in a short period that she did it. In the latest issue of Beau Monde magazine, Patty mentioned a former colleague (without saying his name) who was "very bossy and made her feel insecure" (see news posted on July 28th, 2020). Dutch media news website Mediacourant.nl posted on July 20th an article telling that Versteegh might be this mysterious colleague. Last year, La Brard and Jan Versteegh experienced trouble when they co-hosted SBS 6's infotainment program "6 Inside" (see news posted on May 11th, 2019).
On July 21st, the former Luv' singer talked about Dutch journalist Dionna Stax. Her secret love affair with media personality Humberto Tan caused a sensation in the Netherlands and even affected her career. She was supposed to be the new Eva Jinek and to present the Eurovision Song Contest. She was meant to become an A-list TV host. Her presentation of the Televizier gala (Dutch TV awards) was considered as a warm-up for the ESC. According to media experts, Dionne's performance at the Televizier Gala was disappointing. Patty thought that Stax missed the chance of becoming an important media personality.
On July 25th, Miss Brard and Shownieuws colleague Evert Santegoeds praised Dutch diva Connie Witteman (formerly known as Vanessa when she was a popular recording artist in the 1980s). Currently, Connie is not on good terms with Bart Ettekoven (who also works on Shownieuws) and recently criticized him on her Instagram account. Despite this conflict, Patty and Evert seem to appreciate Connie's photos and videos on social media.

* A couple of months ago, the tell-all book entitled "Patty: de negen levens van Patty Brard" (written by Michel van Egmond and Antoinnette Scheulderman) disappeared from Holland's most relevant bestseller list "De Bestseller 60" (see news posted on May 29th, 2020). Previously, it spent eight weeks on this chart (including three weeks on the Top 5).
However, the sensationalist publication is still present on another list: #8 on Amazon.nl (Bestsellers in E-books biografieën & memoires). Excerpts from the book have been published and discussed in the press to keep it hot. On July 19th, Mediacourant.nl posted an article about Patty's comments in the book on Ralph Inbar with whom she co-presented the successful hidden camera TV show Bananasplit on TROS between 1983 and 1985. La Brard explained that she experienced a few #MeToo moments with Inbar.

* The latest issue of Dutch magazine &C features an interview with Patty Brard. According to the larger than life entertainer, the Covid-19 crisis saved her from a burnout. Due to the coronavirus, the diva was obliged to be on lockdown for almost two months in Ibiza (see news posted on March 21st, 2020). Despite her hectic schedule on television, she was not happy in her life. "It was an eye-opener. I realized that something went wrong. Why did I have to cry? Why did I feel this way? Why did my skin look terrible? The lockdown had a good effect on my body," Patty told &C.
