The tell-all book entitled "Patty: de negen levens van Patty Brard" (written by Michel van Egmond and Antoinnette Scheulderman) has spent five weeks on the Dutch bestseller lists.
Last week, the biography disappeared from the Top 5 (see news posted on April 23rd, 2020).
This week, the sensationalist publication has fallen to #21 on De Bestseller 60 (a list by the Collectieve Propaganda van het Nederlandse Boek ("Collective Promotion for the Dutch Book") representing Dutch bookstores and publishers).
Here are the current positions on the other bestseller lists: #5 on the AKO Boeken top 100, #21 on The Read Shop Top 50, #18 on Paagman.nl, #29 on the Bruna Top 100, #5 on Amazon.nl (Bestsellers in E-books biografieën & memoires) and #67 on Amazon.nl (Bestsellers in Biografieën & memoires).
Excerpts from the book have been published in the press to keep it hot. Columnists and celebrities have discussed it as well. In a recent article published in Dutch newspaper AD in which comedian Claudia de Breij recommended podcasts, TV series and book, she compared Patty's bio with eating M&M's. Claudia's remark led to a discussion between La Brard and her on social media.
