Patty Brard: Back in Holland!!!

Patty Brard on Shownieuws on May 12th

Since Mid-March, Patty Brard had been on lockdown in Ibiza due to the Coronavirus (see news posted on March 21st, 2020). Her birthday festivities which were supposed to be spectacular were cancelled (see news posted on March 14th, 2020). During her quarantine, the diva had been in the spotlight in the Netherlands due to the publication of her bestselling biography. The former Luv' singer kept herself busy with several activities: the promotion of her book in the media (Skype interviews on TV and articles in the tabloid press), a film script, the development of a Christmas collection for the Kruidvat shops, the participation in vlogs with fellow celebrities as well as household issues.

Last weekend, La Brard flew back to Holland with difficulty. In a message posted on social media, she blamed Skyscanner, TUI and eDreams for a bad organization. She also had a bad moment in Germany on her way back to her motherland.

May 12th saw Patty's comeback on SBS6's entertainment news program Shownieuws as a showbiz expert on the early evening edition (175.000 viewers/market share: 4.5%) and the late-night edition (536.000 viewers/market share: 14%). The TV personality (who is under contract to Talpa Network until 2023) is supposed to appear more often on Shownieuws

"It was a trip from hell to travel from Ibiza to the Netherlands," Patty told on the early evening edition of Shownieuws. "I landed on Saturday in Düsseldorf with many stops and obstacles. People didn't want me in Germany. I had to prove that someone would pick me up. I had to wait for four hours. But I am healthy," she added.

Shownieuws colleague Airen Mylene asked her at the end of the late-night edition: "Patty, how was your first day with us?". "I'm so happy to be with you. As well as with you, Evert (Santegoeds). Really!" Patty answered.

"We are happy to have you here and we will see you more often, right?" Airen asked. "Yes, I'll be here more often," Patty replied.

The larger than life TV personality was supposed to co-host a talk show with Gordon on SBS6. This program (inspired by Dr. Phil, Oprah Winfrey and Catherine Keyl) was shelved due to Covid-19. "I've heard that this TV project would not go on because it's too expensive," Gordon explained in a recent interview on Radio Veronica. When asked if the talk show would be postponed until next year, Gordon responded: "No idea. I know they are looking to do it weekly. But it's not profitable for such a production".
