A media circus for Patty Brard's birthday!!!


Today Patty Brard celebrates her 65th birthday!!! The tell-all book entitled "Patty: de negen levens van Patty Brard" (written by Michel van Egmond and his partner Antoinnette Scheulderman)  is out now!!

This great event generated lots of publicity in the media.

  • The ex-Luv' gave a phone interview this morning on 538 Ochtendshow met Frank on Radio 538. La Brard explained her situation in Ibiza where she had been on lockdown due to the coronavirus. She also discussed her biography and said that this book was not scandalous and more about self-reflection. Click here to listen to the interview.   • On De Ochtendshow met Giel (Radio Veronica), Patty talked about stories from her book including Bridget Maasland at a Christmas drink, Freddy Mercury's extravagant birthday party in Ibiza and the recording of a demo with Steve Strange under the name "Double Trouble" which was produced by Roger Taylor of Queen.   • Patty was also interviewed on De Telegraaf's web channel. Click here to watch the interview. She mentioned Luv'. "I was part of a girl group in which there were two girls against another girl. I wish I was part of the Dolly Dots because it was easier. Marga acted as if she was the boss of Luv' because she trademarked the group's name," Patty told. Moreover, the SBS6 star confirmed the fact that when she signed a 4-year contract with Talpa TV last year, John de Mol asked her not to gain weight. 

  • This afternoon, the larger than life entertainer gave an interview on MAX/NPO 1's talk show "Tijd Voor Max". 


  • In the early evening, RTL 4's infotainment program RTL Boulevard featured an item about José Hoebee and Marga Scheide who reacted to Patty's biography. Click here to watch it. I'll post an article about this issue later.
