Luv': The conquest of the Land of Lego and the Little Mermaid

Benelux and German-speaking countries were important for Luv' during their heyday (1978-1981). However, the ladies sold records in other territories. Among them was Denmark. Recently, a music fan named Jan Jensen posted on UKMix.org all the songs that reached the Top 10 of the official Danish singles chart as published in the tabloid newspaper B.T. between 1979 and 1992. This list was set up in association with the Danish branch of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and overseen by Danish lawyer, Johan Schlüter (mentioned in trade magazines Billboard and Music & Media).

This chart includes the peak positions of four emblematic Luv' singles on the Danish hit parade, which gives an accurate picture of the group's brief popularity in this small Scandinavian country:
  • Trojan Horse
Peak position: #2 - 10 weeks on the Danish Top 10 (from 1979-01-26 to 1979-04-06)
24th best selling single of 1979 in Denmark according to BT's Hitliste year-end chart.
  • Casanova
Peak position: #2 - 4 weeks on the Danish Top 10 (from 1979-06-01 to 1979-06-22)
  • Eeny Meeny Miny Moe
Peak position: #8 - 4 weeks on the Danish Top 10 (from 1979-09-14 to 1979-10-05)
  • Ooh, Yes I Do
Peak position: #2 - 5 weeks on the Danish Top 10 (from 1980-01-18 to 1980-02-15)

As for Luv' albums, some issues of Billboard magazine mentioned their peak positions on the LPs chart:
  • With Luv': #9 on the BT Hitlisten / #16 on the year-end chart in 1979
  • Lots of Luv': #8 on the BT Hitlisten / #17 on the year-end chart in 1979

In the summer of 1979, Luv' visited the land of Lego and the Little Mermaid to receive a silver record for the 25.000 sales of the With Luv' album. They also performed Casanova on the Danish TV show "Hig Og Pist".
