Here are Patty Brard's latest columns for Weekend magazine:

Last week, the legendary singer and songwriter Hans Vermeulen passed away (see news posted on November 10th, 2017). Patty told that she met him in the 1970s when she lived in The Hague. Her older sister worked for a music company. That's how she got in touch with musicians. Hans, his then-wife Hilde and their sons David and Tim lived in Voorburg where Patty's friend Carla V had a fashion shop. Patty often helped in the store where the music scene from The Hague bought outfits. Hilde purchased Carla's clothes. As Patty's sister collaborated with Rainbow Train (the band Hans and his brother formed after his successful time with Sandy Coast), Miss Brard babysat Hans and Hilde's sons. She enjoyed the moments when she could witness Hans composing songs on the piano. Patty considers Hans "her favourite Dutch singer". Three years ago, he sang "The Eyes of Jenny" at the wedding ceremony of Patty and Antoine van de Vijver in Amstelveen, NL.
