On June 16th, American musician DJ Khaled featuring Barbadian superstar Rihanna and Bryson Tiller released the single entitled "Wild Thoughts" (taken from Khaled's tenth studio album "Grateful"). This mid-tempo Latin-inspired track consists of Latin percussion, acoustic guitar lines and riffs that are heavily sampled from the 1999 hit single "Maria Maria" by American Latin rock band Santana.
The song has become one of the biggest hits of this summer. It is a global sensation (#2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the USA, a Top 5 hit in Europe, #2 in Australia, many gold and platinum certifications around the world....).
As a Luv' fan, I noticed something special when I first saw Rihanna's short turquoise off-the-shoulder silk chiffon dress (designed by Alberta Ferretti) in the music video.
Music video for "Wild Thoughts" (already 187 million views on Youtube!!!)
I had a strong sense of déjà vu. The pop star's outfit reminded me of José Hoebee's costume for Luv's Greatest Lover in 1978.
