2006: Back In Luv'

10th anniversary of the comeback of the original Luv' trio (Patty Brard, Marga Scheide & José Hoebee)

Luv' have planned a comeback and announced it in the media last month (see news posted on March 16th, 2016). This reunion of Holland's greatest girl group is special as Patty Brard is not involved in this project and has been replaced by Ria Thielsch (who already did it in 1980).

10 years ago, the original members made a well-publicized comeback in Holland and Belgium. 2006 saw a profusion of projects: the broadcast of a reality TV show "Back In Luv" on RTL 5 (in Holland) and VTM (in Belgium), the release of a budget-priced compilation ("Het Mooiste van Luv"), a 4 CD Box ("Completely in Luv") and a DVD (also entitled "Back In Luv") and many live performances.

The ladies promoted their activities on television ("Albert", "RTL Boulevard", "Shownieuws", "Life & Cooking", "TROS Muziekfeest", "Tien Om Te Zien"...) and in the press (Tros Kompas, Televizier, Beau Monde, Veronica Magazine, Weekend, Party, Story...).

On April 29th, 2006, Luv' performed at the Museum Square in Amsterdam for Queen's day (Koninginnedag) with other super acts (Jamie Cullum, Tiësto, Anouk, Di-rect, Clouseau...).

A meet'n greet afternoon organised by the group's fan club was held on May 20th at Bar Arc in Amsterdam. It was a good opportunity for the public to meet their idols.  Pop star Gerard Joling was present.

On May 26th, 27th and 28th 2006, the three singers and Bobby Farrell (of Boney M.) made a guest appearance on the mega shows of De Toppers (a group formed by Gordon, René Froger and Gerard Joling) at the Amsterdam ArenA. The girls made a funny entrance in camp and extravagant costumes on glittery rollators. They sang a medley of their greatest hits (Casanova, Trojan Horse, U.O.Me and You're the Greatest Lover).

Luv' had a hectic schedule and toured the Netherlands and Belgium extensively that year. Among their greatest shows:

Q Music's Foute Party in Gent, Belgium (July 2006)

Amsterdam Gay Pride (August 6th, 2006)

Studio 54 show (with Patrick Hernandez and The Trammps) at the Antwerps Sportpaleis (September 23rd, 2006)

Beau Monde Awards (October 18th, 2006)

Top 2000 à Gogo (December 2006)

The feedback about this comeback was so positive that Luv' performed the following years. They disbanded in August 2012 after their show at the Dutch Valley Festival
