Patty's latest column about Ridder Reinout

Patty Brard's latest column for Weekend magazine deals with "Ridder Reinout", a 9-year old boy who suffers from a rare form of cancer. His name may be familiar to the regular readers of my blog as I've sometimes mentioned him in previous posts. Patty has a special bond with this kid. She had already written another column about him (see news posted on October 2nd, 2013).

In 2012, the diva excuted a special dive on SBS 6 show "Sterren Springen" to raise funds for Reinout via SMS charity donations. The former Luv' singer wanted to draw attention to his disease. In November 2012, she hosted a charity event to send the little boy to a special hospital in Philadelphia, USA. Reinout spent sixth months in America. In late September 2013, Patty took his family (including his sister named "Fleur") and him to the premiere of the St. Nicholas film in which she appeared.

Miss Brard has always kept in touch with Little Reinout. In her recent column, she gives some news about his health. The boy is back in hospital and will have a bone marrow transplant. He might only have a 20% chance of survival. That's why Patty asks her public to send a postcard to Reinout (who is hospitalized at the University Medical Center in Utrecht, NL) and to make a donation to KiKa (a Dutch children's cancer charity).
