Dutch pop-folk band "Mister and Mississippi" (featuring Maxine Barlag, Ria Thielsch's niece) has been nominated for an Edison award in the "Alternative" category. This annual Dutch music prize is awarded for outstanding achievements in the music industry. The ceremony will take place in Amsterdam on March 31st, 2014. The debut album of "Mister and Mississippi" has already spent 27 weeks on Holland's Album Top 100 and peaked at #6. Previously, the group won the "best newcomer 3FM award" (see news posted on April 21st 2013). They have toured the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
They will even take part in the "Crossroads Festival" (sponsored by German iconic TV show "Rockpalast") next month.
