Patty Brard appeared with Gerard Joling and Jan Smit on RTL 4 New Year's Eve show "Van der Vorst Ziet Sterren" on December 31st. The program (which was hosted by Peter van der Vorst) attracted 1.108.000 viewers (market share: 18.6%). The diva discussed her participation in SBS 6 diving competition "Sterren Springen Op Zaterdag" which was a big hit on Dutch TV in 2012. Footage of her famous splash was aired. Miss Brard also talked about another special dive she executed to raise funds for a 7-year old boy (Reinout) diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She burst into tears after watching a video of the sick child and his sister. Reinout's mother gave her flowers to thank her. Then Patty received a standing ovation from the audience.
