On September 13th, Patty Brard announced on social media that the first episode of her latest TV project, "De grote huisverbouwing", a home renovation show on SBS6, would be broadcast on October 24th at 6.00 pm.
Last month, the former Luv' singer revealed that she and Dutch interior designer Leonie Hendrikse collaborated on a TV program for SBS6 without giving details. Dutch website Televizier.nl recently provided information about De grote huisverbouwing. It will be broadcast for 13 weeks. It is produced by Stokvis Content which is also in charge of other programs such as garden renovation shows "De Grote Tuinverbouwing" and "Lodewijks groene geluk".

Patty Brard is under contract with Talpa TV (which owns SBS6) until March 2023. Earlier this summer, Dutch commercial broadcasters RTL Nederland and Talpa Network announced that they reached an agreement to merge their broadcasting and affiliated media businesses in the Netherlands. Since her return on SBS6 in 2019, the TV shows hosted by her have been disappointing in terms of viewing figures. For several months, SBS6's entertainment news program Shownieuws (featuring La Brard as a showbiz expert) has been the only show that has kept her active on the small screen regularly. But now, the Prima Donna is starting something new with this interior design show.
Recently, the diva discussed De Grote Huisverbouwing on Shownieuws. "I was asked to host a new home renovation program. They were surprised that I accepted this offer because it is not a prime-time show. It will be aired on Sunday afternoon. We will help people who could not get their house in order due to a divorce or financial problems. We surprise them with the fantastic handyman Albert and a stylist," she said.
The larger than life celebrity will be less present on Shownieuws due to this new TV project. "It's fun to do it. Filming takes a long time. That's why you'll see me less on TV in the evening," Patty explained.
