La Brard in Veronica Magazine: "I want to host Absolutely Patty again!"

During the 2000-2001 TV season, Patty Brard hosted her own talk show "Absolutely Patty" on Veronica channel. The program was taped in her own apartment at the time. Sometimes it led to tensions with her neighbourhood because the flat was changed into a studio. The former Luv' singer interviewed many celebrities in her living room. 

In the latest issue of Veronica magazine, Patty explains that she would like to host this talk show again. "It was definitively the best program I ever did. It was so much fun because it was different from other shows," she says. 

Now the SBS6 star lives in a villa in Amstelveen which is bigger than her apartment in Amsterdam 20 years ago where she presented Absolutely Patty. Here's what she tells Veronica Magazine if she hosts this show again: "I would like to buy the house next to mine, kick out the neighbours and turn it into a nice TV studio. Who knows what will happen in the future?". 

Twenty years ago, the diva's daughter, Priscilla (who was was a teenager) was present during the tapings of the program. It must have been an intrusion into the life of the 17-year-old girl who didn't like publicity like her mother. In 2003, Patty and Priscilla went a step further with the reality show "Patty's Posse" which featured the domestic life of the Brard family. In 2009, Priscilla was not on speaking terms with her mother. The ladies were reconciled recently (see news posted on September 9th, 2020).

Earlier this year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, her daily talk show with Gordon was shelved as a studio audience was supposed to attend it (see news posted on November 4th, 2020). An intimate show like Absolutely Patty would be perfect instead. Currently, SBS6's entertainment news program Shownieuws is the only TV project which keeps Miss Brard active on television. That's not much for a TV personality like her who signed a 4-year contract in March 2019 with Talpa Network (parent company of SBS6). Since the signature of this deal, the majority of her programs were disappointing in terms of viewing figures. How long will Talpa wait before considering her dismissal? However, the diva is not to be pitied as she has many other activities (including the launch of collections for Kruidvat, a best-selling biography and a recently published children's book).
