On September 5th, Patty Brard and her husband Antoine van de Vijver celebrated a nice anniversary: 15 years as a couple. Six years ago, they got married in Amstelveen and Ibiza (see news posted on September 15th, 2014).
On the same day as their anniversary, Bibi & Lulu, Patty's little dogs, celebrated their 12th birthday! A nice message was posted on social media.
Ten days ago, Lulu, one of Patty Brard's little dogs, was severely ill and had to be euthanized. The former Luv' singer cancelled the euthanasia at the very last moment after Lulu got better. La Brard told the details about this miracle in a message posted on Instagram on September 7th:
On September 4th, the diva was supposed to take part in a live broadcast with 100%NL Magazine on Instagram as part of the #wezijnthuisbij (#weareathomewith) program. Due to Lulu's ill health, this interview was cancelled.

* Patty not interested in De Slimste Mens
Recently, Patty told on SBS6's entertainment news program Shownieuws that she would never take part in the highly popular TV quiz show De Slimste Mens (currently broadcast on KRO-NCRV).
De Slimste Mens (ter wereld) (translation: "the smartest human/person in the world) is a quiz in which Dutch celebrities need to answer trivia questions correctly, with three people competing on each episode. For every question they answer correctly, they gain seconds, that tick away during the time the questions are asked. There are several different rounds, for example, a puzzle round and a round with pictures about a certain topic. The two people with the least amount of seconds go into the final round, in which each question answered correctly reduces the number of seconds of the opponent. The finalist that has no seconds left loses, and can not return to the next episode. In the final week the best players compete against each other, and "the smartest person" wins.
NOS Journaal anchorwoman Astrid Kersseboom won the 2020 season of De Slimste Mens. The final of the game show drew 2.06 million viewers on August 28th!!!
Patty said that she would be too nervous to be a contestant on De Slimste Mens and praised Astrid Kersseboom for her participation.

* Rick Romijn Vs Patty Brard
In her best-selling biography published earlier this year, Patty Brard said that she didn't appreciate Dutch radio personality Rick Romijn, Wilfred Genee's sidekick on Radio Veronica. As a sought-after celebrity, Patty is often interviewed in the media. One day, Rick Romijn tried several times to contact her for an interview and the diva didn't answer her Whatsapp messages. Known for his angry behaviour, Romijn asked Patty: "This is the last time I try. Can we call today? Yes or No?". Patty was not used to be treated in such a disrespectful way. "I don't like this tone. Who does this man think he is? You don't begin a message this way," she told in her biography.

The September 9th broadcast of Shownieuws was special because earlier that day De Telegraaf and Privé announced Patty's reconciliation with her daughter Priscilla (Click here to read an article about this happy moment). Miss Brard explained that she received nice messages from fellow celebrities who congratulated her. Among them were Linda de Mol, Paul de Leeuw, Ronald Molendijk, Gordon, Gerard Joling, Eva Jinek, Jeroen van der Boom, Roxeanne Hazes, Jim Bakkum and Kees Tol.
Eva Jinek and Quinty Trustfull also tried to invite her on their talk shows but she refused. "They asked me to appear on their TV programs to talk about this personal issue but I didn't want it," Patty told her Shownieuws colleagues.
Other celebrities knew about Patty and Priscilla's reunion before it was published in the press. "Viktor Brard is a nice colleague. He knew about my sorrow for years and I immediately informed him about this meeting as well as Richard Groenendijk and a couple of Shownieuws co-workers," she said.
Patty also explained that she wanted privacy after this festive media announcement: "Priscilla told her story once and for all and we will remain discreet about our relationship. She has her own life and she doesn't want to be in the spotlight".
On the September 11th broadcast of Shownieuws, Patty mentioned TV host Wilfred Genee whose new season of his talk show Veronica Inside premiered on the same day. She didn't understand why he refused to talk about racism with his VI colleagues. "Wilfred's been very slack. He went to his physiotherapist who told him: "Tomorrow you should make a nice program". Excuse me but why do you ask your physiotherapist for this kind of advice," Patty said.

* Ruben Koops' criticism about Patty Brard on Dit Vindt Nederland
Recently, Dutch journalist Ruben Koops (who works for the Parool newspaper) criticized Patty Brard on SBS6's program Dit Vindt Nederland. Antoinnette Scheulderman (who co-wrote Patty's biography with Michel van Egmond) was also present on this talk show. Koops discussed the diva's recent reunion with his daughter and the way it was announced in the media. "We are too mild to this lady," he said. According to him, Patty is a troublemaker. "I've heard from Antoinnette that she was not welcome to her father's funeral, she's also been on bad terms with her sister and her own daughter. 11 years without contact...It means that she has a problem," Koops added.
Antoinnette Scheulderman replied to Ruben Koops: "No, sorry, you should read the book first. The fact that she couldn't meet her parents is due to her sister who did the same with her daughter. The feud between Patty and her daughter is probably due to the two of them. I am happy that they are on speaking terms. But this argument with her parents is actually a feud between two sisters".
De Telegraaf journalist Wierd Duk had also an opinion about this story: "I think it's strange when Dutch celebrities expose their family feuds and argue in front of the cameras. They should be more discreet about it. I would be a bit ashamed if something like that happened to me".
