Exactly one year ago, on January 4th, 2019, the Luv' ladies took everybody by surprise when they introduced their new colleague, Dutch media personality Chimène van Oosterhout who replaced Ria Thielsch. This unexpected news was first announced in Holland's most-read newspaper De Telegraaf. Then other Dutch news websites (including AD.nl, RTL Boulevard, Nu.nl and Lindanieuws.nl) covered it.
Chimène was the perfect asset to Luv' because of her long career in the media. Since 1996, this polyglot professional (who speaks seven languages fluently!) had hosted TV programs on the major Dutch channels (TROS, Veronica, Yorin and RTL 4, SBS 6 and Net 5). Chimène was also an actress. She appeared on the popular Dutch soap opera "Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden" on RTL 4 and even had one of the leading parts in the American movie "X-Patriots" (2001) which won several awards. The new Luv' lady had been also involved in yoga, horse riding, kitesurfing with her son, psychology and PR activities.
On the same day that Chimène's recruitment was announced, Luv' appeared on RTL 4's infotainment show "RTL Boulevard" and SBS6's entertainment news program "Shownieuws".
Chimène's arrival boosted the most popular Dutch girl group.
From January to September 2019, the Luv' singers were constantly in the spotlight in every Dutch celebrity gossip magazine (Privé, Story, Weekend and Party) and on national television (NPO 1, RTL 4, SBS 6 and Veronica).
Luv' continued to tour the nostalgia circuit successfully in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Between January and March 2019, eight vlogs showing Luv' behind the scenes were posted on YouTube.
In May 2019, the trio went to Miami, Fl to record a reggaeton single entitled "With Him Tonight" with Latin Grammy-nominated producers Keith Morrison and Manuel Lecca-Garrido. Luv' also took part in photoshoots and TV interviews on local Spanish speaking channels (WFOR CBS 4, The Beach Channel, Space Coast TV, Azteca 48 WWHB Palm Beach and Mega TV).
On July 4th, 2019 "With Him, Tonight" was released via the major online platforms (Spotify, Deezer, Amazon and Apple Music). On July 9th, the digital single entered the iTunes Dutch Top 200 at #54. Four days later, it disappeared from this chart.
Unfortunately, in late August, Luv' decided to cancel their live performances due to José Hoebee's illness and burnout. In mid-September, the trio announced via their official fan page on Facebook that all their activities were interrupted until early 2020 due to José's situation.
Let's cross our fingers that the group will be back for good in the Spring!!!
