On May 25th, Ron Kemper and photograph Jim Hoogendorp made a special donation to Jaap Schut, director of the RockArt Museum in Hoek van Holland, Netherlands: two Luv' dresses which belonged to Patty Brard and one copy of the "forbidden" photo book "The Story of Luv'".
"We bought Patty Brard's dresses on Queen's day in 2012. They have been for seven years in a closet. Now everybody can see them at the museum," Ron and Jim said.
The latest issue of Jim's online magazine "Behind The Stars" features an article about this donation.
In late April 2012, Patty Brard sold clothes including her Luv' wardrobe during a garage sale in Amsterdam on Koninginnedag (Holland's national holiday - see news posted on May 1st, 2012). These costumes were not the iconic ones from the 1970s but the ones the singer wore during the comeback of the original Luv' trio in 2006.
Last year, José Hoebee and friends visited the RockArt Museum, a place including memorabilia which celebrate 60 years of Dutch pop and rock music (see news posted on June 18th, 2019).
