The Luv' ladies in Dutch celebrity gossip magazines

The tabloid press is like a double-edged sword. Celebrities need it to exist publicly. On the other hand, sometimes they face sensationalist headlines in the papers. Since their debut in 1977, the Luv' ladies have often appeared in Dutch celebrity gossip magazines.

* The latest issue of Story features an article about Marga Scheide. "I'm afraid to lose my man," she says referring to her partner, Michiel Gunning. Fifteen years ago, the sudden death of her ex, record producer Jacques Zwart was a nightmare. So when Michiel experienced health issues, Marga was terrified.

* The latest issue of Party Hollandse Hitmix features a short item entitled "Then and now: All you need is LUV'" and illustrated with a photo of the original trio in 1978 (the ladies wearing their "Greatest Lover" costumes) and another one with the current line-up (featuring Ria Thielsch). Last year, Luv' celebrated their 40th anniversary without Patty Brard who was replaced by Ria. "Since our comeback in 2015, Ria has been present during all our shows," José Hoebee tells. "The fans accept her and Patty chose not to be part of the group anymore. Now we're happy," she adds.

* The latest issue of Party includes an article entitled "Why José Hoebee stopped Facebook". Recently, the Luv' singer took a short break on the social network. "I like to tell my stories on Facebook. Most of the time, I receive kind reactions. I also have difficulties like everybody. I'm not always enthusiastic. Messages about illness, problems and death touch me. Don't get me wrong: I understand them but I've also been through so many things. Facebook should be relaxing for me. Other people think differently. It's their right and I respect it. But I don't want to face serious issues. That's why I stop posting things for a while. I hope you understand and I'm very happy with your support. Don't worry. I need to rest," José told her followers on Facebook

Party called José to know the reason for her decision. "When I didn't post for one or two days, instantly I got messages from people who expected me to write something until 1.30 am. I don't want this pressure anymore. I don't want to feel obliged to post things on Facebook. I like to discuss light issues. I will never write about the death of my mother, animal suffering or diseases," she explained. Now the Luv' lady is back on social media. She enjoys good moments in life (such as her shows with Luv', her recent meeting with David Soul and her monthly lunch with her fans).
