Patty Brard in Vrouw: "I want to decide when I retire instead of being dismissed!!"

The latest issue of Vrouw (a women's magazine, supplement to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf) came out yesterday and features an interview with Patty Brard. The diva plans to keep on working on TV for a couple of years. The larger than life media personality felt humiliated when an SBS 6 executive told her in 2017 that "she was not fresh and fruity anymore". Earlier this year, she had a gastric bypass and lost 30 kilos. Recently, she has enjoyed a renaissance on the small screen. She was involved in the documentary series VetGelukkig on NTR/NPO 3 with Diederik Jekel. She was recruited as the new host of the new season of RTL 5's reality show "Hotter Than My Daughter" (which will air in the first semester of 2019). Since November, she has appeared as an entertainment news expert every Friday on RTL 4's talk show "RTL Late Night Met Twan Huys". Last but not least: the former Luv' singer won the final of RTL 4's celebrity photo contest "Het Perfecte Plaatje" (see news posted on December 22nd, 2018).

"I'm 63 years old. I think I have the right to stay on TV for a couple of years. And then I will retire beautifully. I want to decide when I make my farewell appearance instead of being dismissed," La Brard told Vrouw
