In a recent interview published in Veronica magazine, Patty Brard told that she believed in the potential of the new daily show hosted by Albert Verlinde on SBS 6. Earlier this week, the media revealed the name of Verlinde's new infotainment program (Inside 6) and the date of the first broadcast (January 7th, 2019). Dutch entertainer Jan Versteegh will also be part of Inside 6 which will air 30 minutes before its competitor: RTL 4's program "RTL Boulevard". Verlinde worked for 15 years (2001-2016) on Boulevard as an entertainment expert. Recently, he signed a 2-year deal with Talpa TV which owns SBS 6 and other channels.
Patty Brard used to work on SBS 6's entertainment news program "Shownieuws" between 2007 and 2017. In 2011, rumours circulated about the bad atmosphere between the diva and the editorial staff of Shownieuws. At that time, Patty thought that her colleagues were not professional enough. According to her, Verlinde will bring more professionalism on SBS 6. "That's fine. It's a good move. Albert is the perfect person for such a program. He's more "Shownieuws" than Shownieuws has ever been," she told Veronica magazine.
Since her departure from SBS 6, La Brard hasn't watched the new editions of Shownieuws. "No. It's a wonder that I could work so late every evening. What a drama! As a viewer, I can't watch it anymore. It's too late," she explained.
During her Shownieuws years, the ex-Luv' singer always went to bed late. "I often slept at 2 am. I'm happy that I don't have to do it anymore and that I got rid of this daily stress. I would like to host daily TV shows but preferably in the afternoon so I can enjoy dinner in the evening at home," Patty said.
