2005 - 2015: 10th anniversary of my Luv' blog

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of my Luv' blog, here is my article about the 10 greatest Luv' moments of the past 10 years.

I) April 7th, 2005: the original members of Luv' (José Hoebee, Patty Brard and Marga Scheide) reunited for a surprise performance at the 60th birthday party of their former pygmalion and producer Hans van Hemert. This event was front-page news in Holland.

II) Spring and Summer of 2006: Luv's comeback. Profusion of projects ("Back in Luv" reality show on RTL 5, DVD, 4 CD Box set (Completely in Luv'), guest appearance at De Toppers shows at the Amsterdam ArenAlive performances and TV shows in the Netherlands and Belgium...). The ladies performed until 2012.

III) January 2007: Patty's funny performance on SBS 6 figure skating competition "Sterren Dansen Op Het Ijs" was a heavily covered media event and relaunched her TV career. She was later involved in other TV programs on SBS 6 (Shownieuws, De Nieuwe Uri Geller, Wie ben ik?, K2 zoekt K3....).

IV) June 2009: José released a duet single with former BZN singer Anny Schilder. The ladies covered "Be My Baby" (originally performed by The Ronettes in the 1960s). A promo tour and several live shows of the duo followed until 2010.

V) March 2011: José's dream came true when she had the opportunity to re-record "I Will Follow Him" with Peggy March who originally performed it in 1963. This duet appeared on Peggy's album "Always and Forever" the following year.

VI) August 11th, 2012: Luv' gave their final live performance on August 11th, 2012 at the Dutch Valley Festival in Spaarnwoude, NL. The end of a fabulous 35-year era.

VII) Late August-September 2012: Patty's participation in the celebrity diving competition "Sterren Springen op Zaterdag" on SBS 6 hit the headlines in Holland. The diva's performance had the same effect as the above-mentioned figure skating show: Miss Brard got new contracts on TV. Eyeworks (which produced "Sterren Springen") used the video of her failed dive to sell the format (known as "Celebrity Splash") worldwide.

VIII) June 2014: José put out a digital single: "Noheyo" (a cover version of a Polish hit song originally performed by pop band Blue Café in 2011). This release generated media attention and the singer performed the track on TV and on stage during the summer of 2014 .

IX) September 2014: Patty Brard married Antoine van de Vijver. The couple had two wedding ceremonies: the first in Amstelveen and the second in Ibiza. Many Dutch VIP's attended the event. The tabloid press and celebrity gossip sites covered this happy moment.

X) May 2015: Release of the long-awaited and much-discussed book entitled "The Story of Luv" (written by Peter Boonstra and including exclusive pictures as well as a CD compilation). The 1980-81 line-up of Luv' (José Hoebee, Marga Scheide and Ria Thielsch) presented this unique document to the press (on May 1st) and the fans (on May 2nd) at the legendary Wisseloord recording studios in Hilversum.
