On January 30th, V2 Records Holland released "We Only Part To Meet Again", the second album by Dutch pop-folk band "Mister and Mississippi" featuring Maxime Barlag (niece of ex-Luv' singer Ria Thielsch). 2013 and 2014 had been wonderful years for the group: their debut album spent 31 weeks on the Dutch charts, they played sold-out concerts in several countries and won prizes (including an Edison Award in the "alternative" category). After such a tremendous success, a follow-up opus is a challenge for the band...

The quartet has embarked on a promo tour since late January.
In Germany, they graced the cover of MusikWoche (THE music trade magazine in Goethe's country) and even performed on ZDF Morgenmagazin and Radio Eins.

In the Netherlands, they have had a hectic schedule.
They appeared on the high-rated VARA/NPO 1's TV program "De Wereld Draait Door":

The highly influential NPO Radio 2 and NPO 3FM support their music. They have given many interviews and they have also performed their new songs at record stores. Next month, they will go on a "real" tour. The icing on the cake: on February 7th, "We Only Part To Meet Again" (which received positive reviews from experts) entered the Dutch Album Top 100 at #3 (a feat for this kind of Indie formation). The current position is #35.
Last week, my Facebook friend, Karin Angeleyes attended an unplugged mini-concert at Plato record shop in Utrecht. She posted pictures on her Facebook page and also videos on her YouTube channel:
